ok so i'm bored in work.

i worked in a nightclub and was in charge of whatever bar i was on. a girl i liked was working on the same bar as me and wanted to get away early. i told her she could finish early on the condition that she gave me her phone number. 3 and a half years after me abusing my power i'm living with her and have never been happier. :D
surely someone out there must have a better story than that?

Ive been sober going on 7 years and I dont miss it. I was a bad alchie after my daughter died, almost lost my wife because of it too, but she stuck with me. Dont know why, but she did.

Church in Japan. I had just arrived in Japan for a one year work assignment on a Wed. On Sat., someone knocked on my door. I answered it. It was some young guy inviting me to church. I didn't want to go to church but I figured I owed it to God to go. I went expecting to see some small church filled with old people. Not at all. Many young people and a large church. There, I met my future wife. Thank God that person came to my door and invited me to church.

I often wonder what would have happened if I had not been home at that time or if I had decided not to go to church.

I was in the right place at the right time and made the right decision.:)

I went to go see Rounders (Poker movie with Ed Norton) with some buddies at the movies and she was the popcorn girl. I went back to the concession stand during the movie to get her phone number while pretending I needed a different soda. We exchanged phone numbers and I was gonna wait about a week to call her but her friends made her call me 1st, the rest is history.

The problem was she had a boyfriend. I cleared that obstacle in about 10 days.

5 weeks after we met I proposed. 2 and a 1/2 months later we were married. It will be 19 years in December.

An elaborate set-up by my mother-in-law. My wife's mother and I worked together for about 15 years. Her daughter was in her late 30's and single, I was in my early 40's and single as well. Well, what's an interfering mom supposed to do? She set us up and we've been together ever since.
