Metallica always has done a good job on their covers. Even when I did not like their stuff from load on, they still put out a few good cover songs in that time.

Van Halen always did good covers as well.

Quiet Riot, some people don't know but their two biggest hits were cover songs from the band slade.

Buckley's Hallelujah is good but I am so sick of hearing it on movies, tv shows, etc. (actually I might be including Cale's version in that, but enough's enough with that song already!)
