View Full Version : Eminem the "Butt" of Bruno's joke...

Did anyone see this on the MTV movie awards tonight? Hilarious. Eminem looked like he was going to blow a gasket. He just finished his song "We Made You", which is basically taking shots at celebrities for taking themselves too seriously, then a few moments later, he got teabagged. What I found ironic, is that he stormed out of the awards show. Uh....Em.....didn't you just sing a song poking fun at celebrities for taking themselves so seriously?
Video is on the page if you click it.

LOS ANGELES ? Eminem apparently has flown the coop from the MTV Movie Awards after a close encounter with Sacha Baron Cohen.
In character as flamboyant fashion reporter "Bruno," Baron Cohen flew in above Sunday's award show audience on a wire _ and in a pair of feathery white wings and his rear end mostly exposed.
But the comedian crashed into an overhead obstacle, and he was lowered into the audience _ right into Eminem's lap, his bare hindquarters in the rapper's face.
Eminem seemed visibly upset at the mishap. Or was it a joke he was in on?
The rapper stormed out with his entourage in tow _ and cameras rolling. In 2002, Sparks flew when the rapper was interviewed by Triumph the Insult Comic Dog at the MTV Video Music Awards.

em' looks pissed
the only reason I can see 'em being in on it is because the entourage looks like they are about this close to assaulting a celebrity

IMO, it was staged, but not supposed to happen like that which is why Em gets so ticked.

well if Em was in on it why would he do it? also I can't stand that Borat guy. I wish Em or one of his bodyguards beat him to death on live on tv after that. guy is not funny. as for Eminem his career is over. not only the fact that he can't rap anymore but he got a dudes package in his face in front of millions of people watching.

Thats not going to end his career. The part about not being able to rap might but this incident won't hurt his career one bit.
As far as not being able to rap, I think he can. His verse in "You don't know" off of the Re-up is classic Em. If he put more of those out instead of his whiney teenie-bopper crap, he'd still be one of the best rappers currently working.

Obviously staged.
Very obvious.
Lets see:
direct him over Eminem
place camera on Eminem way before he is dropped down
poor acting on Eminem looking up
Eminem's bodyguards didnt punch or shank him
etc etc etc..:laugh2:

Anyone who thinks this was not staged does not understand the logistics of making that stunt work.
Borat will be in Em's next video.

I agree but Eminem is notoriously homophobic and it's hard to believe he would agree to be t-bagged bu a half naked German super gay

Speaking of t-bagged. I was reading an article about the Texas Rangers and they were talking to Chris Davis and how the A's intentionally walked him (even with his .203 avg and league leading strikeouts) to load the bases for Taylor Teagarden. Anyhow, he referred to Teagarden as "Teabag". :laugh2:
I went searching for it, it appears as though the Rangers have removed that quote! haha

Of course he did ..... only an idiot would thing they would perform a potentially dangerous stunt like that over Eminem without his involvement.

That and some of it had to be unscripted, because Eminem let out a loud "get this mother ****** off me" that wasn't censored when I saw it.

I'm torn....Sasha will do unplanned stuff like this so I'm not 100% it was faked. BUT...but.....this was under MTV's control and their butt if something happened so I'm leaning toward it's staged.

Don't know about his new movie.
In his show his Ali G and Borat characters were far and away funnier than his Bruno character IMO.

As for the incident, it was staged, no doubt.

Maybe so but i don't think that was anything but staged. I mean if they were really surprised, and offended, by it happening then those guys could have done much worse, hitting him wise, when they were getting him off him. Plus if he wasn't in on it Em would have most likely reacted a lot differently then simply sitting there and telling people to get him off him.
I mean if you're just sitting there and some dude flies down and puts his butt in your face you're not just going to sit there and yell for someone to get him off you, no matter what language you're using, unless you're in on it.
As for the character itself...I have no doubt, after seeing the trailer one time, that it will be incredibly stupid. I didn't even bother to watch Borat because the commercials and trailers for the movie weren't even funny. The guy simply isn't funny, IMO, he's just stupid and annoying.

The stunt on Sunday night's MTV Movie Awards featuring "Bruno" star Sacha Baron Cohen landing with his naked buttocks in Eminem's face was staged, Entertainment Weekly (http://hollywoodinsider.ew.com/2009/06/sources-eminembruno-stunt-on-mtv-movie-awards-was-staged.html)reports.
The stunt was created with Eminem's consent, and the two rehearsed it before the live show, the publication says, citing sources close to MTV and Cohen, as well as a blog entry from comedy writer Scott Aukerman.

Ive also heard them tagged as thugs when reading up on this. Their records are squeaky clean.

Nothing to do with a celebrity taking himself too seriously. The dude landed on Em's head and had his crotch right by his mouth and his legs wrapped around his friggin head. Just because he thinks it's funny doen't make it so. He deserved a slight ***-whooping for that unapproved tea-bagging, imo.
My opinion? Eminem wasn't acting. Not one bit.
Yeah he seemed pretty pissed off. A seasoned actor would have trouble pullin' off the raw hate that was in his face lookin in' on Cohen's gouche.
I saw it and it was just FABULOUS! :welcome:

I don't know, in 8 Mile he had that hateful look down pretty good. If it was staged...uh, wow. And pretty funny. If it was not staged , it may have been funny but Cohen deserved a tail kicking (not licking) for it.

I have to agree. Alot of people built up the hype to me on this flick too, so when I sat down to watch it, I figured it wouldn't live up to the hype.
It did. I laughed so hard my ribs and stomach were sore for 2 days afterwards.

I hated Paul Blart, and didn't dislike No Country for Old Men. At least I am willing to watch something I'm fairly certain will suck. And as bad as Paul Blart was, it was still infinitely better than Borat. Borat wasn't even worth one chuckle. Some people are just too easily amused I guess.

I don't know why there are some people saying if it was staged. it was. They've all already come out and said it was, including Em himself.
In fact the stunt was actually offered to Paris Hilton first and she turned it down so Em was the second choice for the stunt.
