While some of these may not have been my most favorite television series, I really enjoyed how each one led into an episode. I've grouped them according to the decade in which they premiered.

Im a huge Japanese Anime fan.

You could try either Youtube to see if you can see some episodes, which they tend to be broken into parts or Crunchyroll.com.

But I always get my stuff from Bittorrent (http://www.torrentz.com).

Yeah, it takes patients but most Bittorrents clients have resume and the best time to download is overnight.

I download all anime from Bittorrent and then convert them to DVDs. I do this so much that as a Software Developer by trade, I have written Open Source Software for others to do it quickly.

If you have a High Speed Internet Connection, I would definately re-look into Bittorrent. When I first heard about it several years ago, I didn't understand it. It wasn't until I was in Best Buy one time a few years back that a someone literally told me every step to do that I started to understand it.

I just finished downloading Dragon Ball Z a few days ago, which is 63 Gigs a few weeks ago and it took about 4 days.

The area my new house is in offers Verizon Fios, so I am extremely excited about seeing how fast downloads will be when I get it along with the fastest download package.

Let me know if you need any help.

At least that one was able to embed.

I just can't find an original American intro that can be embedded. The foreign one's all say Teenage Mutant HERO Turtles.

This was posted by Bbgun in the misheard lyrics thread, but it reminded me of the greatness of the WKRP outro (I know this is an intro thread, but I didn't care for the WKRP intro as much as I did the outro):

Oh and I can't believe no one posted the 'CHiPs' theme. I used to watch the hell outta that show:

A great cartoon and a great theme!

Oh and another cartoon I liked as a kid. The very first anime cartoon to be released in America. Star Blazers!

I can still sing the theme song.

Although the bolded part is innacurate. Mazinger Z (Tranzor Z) and Speed Racer both beat Space Battleship Yamato (Starblazers) to US shores.

There is a show on HBO called True Blood. Getting ready to start the second season next weekend. The show is so so, something to watch.

However the intro song is pretty cool but the video that goes with it is pretty disturbing.

I would post it here but it is a tad disturbing and has some sections that are not family friendly.

I love TrueBlood, but I agree about the subject matter of the opening theme. It's funny. TrueBlood is the very first series or film which I ever though of Anna Paquin as 'sexy'. :)
