...that looked worse than a sprained ankle and TO first grabbed his knee, not his ankle.

I'm gonna hold out for the official report before I put some stock into Dr. Goose.

Sprained ankles can sometimes be worse than broken ankles. I know. I've had both.

It sure looked bad. I thought it might be broken but then he started hopping around on it (like a fool).

Andy reid said the xrays were negative but the ankle did swell up. Also he is having an MRI tomorrow.

It's going to be labeled a dirty hit by some Eagles fan, I bet.
That was the only possible way Roy could've tackled him. If he had dove for him and tried to grab him by the legs TO would've broken the tackle.
It's too bad Roy has injuried 3 people on that kind've tackle, but it's Football and thats what happens.

I have to give T.O. some credit though; he didn't want the fans to see him hurt. I don't like the man too much, but you can't say that he isn't a tough, competive individual.
I thought knee too. Guess we'll find out after his probable MRI tomorrow.

I'd be surprised if anyone said that was dirty. If they do, they are complete idiots and should not watch football ever again.

Poor T.O.......he won't never be able to dance on The Star again. I so loved his routines. He will be missed. :(

I have zero sympathy for this selfish, arrogant, cowboy hating cry baby. What goes around, comes around.
Personally i think TO is out for the season...find out tomorrow.

Finally someone that agrees with me. I think Roy should make a trip to Philly to sign TO's cast with a sharpie.
Today was a victory in this regard. I have zero sympathy for TO.

Yeah, the announcers kept saying that the x-rays were negative, but that only shows broken bones. They acted as if it were only a sprained ankle since no bones were broken... there could be plenty of ligament and/or tendon damage that wouldn't show up on the x-ray.
Tomorrow's MRI will shed much more light on the damage done.

On Flashback, Drew Pearson said he thinks it will be more serious than is being reported also. He said when he saw it, he knew right away it was going to be a bad injury.

MRI of what, the ankle? That looked like a knee to me, especially th eway he grabbed it. Roy has perfected that tackling technique just like a true cowboy wrestling a steer! :D

Too bad :D , i wish T.O was health. Cause, now when Philly chokes again, in the playoff. They have an execuse to fall back on.

moose and goose were thinking it is a high ankle sprain. on a receiver this can be a bad and nagging injury.

I think he got hurt on purpose so he wouldn't have to see Andy Reid in tights.
Williams tackled Owens the same way he tackled the Titan reciever in preseason.....and he ended up missing this whole year because of that injury.
It wouldn't surprise me one bit if it is a torn or severly sprained mcl or acl. Owens did grab his knee when he went down....not his ankle.

it's kinda silly to suggest there was anything illegal or even malicious in roy william's tackle of terrell owens. roy just grabbed the first thing he could get his hands on and pulled TO down. roy is a pretty powerful 240 lbs. he is gonna hurt some guys.

I was at the game and also saw the play live, trust me, it is worst then an ankle sprain. He tried to walk to the locker room and almost collapsed in the runway. He did grab the back of the knee, if you watch the replay you see the foot get caught under him and has the ankle is being twisted, it looks like the knee gives out.
Just as an observation on the game since I was in attendance, Dat had a horrible game. I would be surprised if he was here next year. He missed alot of tackles and a few coverage assignments. The TD pass to Lewis was all him.

Roy really needs to change his tackling technique on those kinds of tackles where he's pursuing from behind. That kind of tackle is uncalled for.
Personally, I'd prefer if he'd have shoved his fist through TO's back, ripped out his still-beating heart, and showed it to him before he died.
Would that constitute a taunting penalty?
Also, I doubt if Pinkston would even step foot back on the field after one of those.
I'm going to call it the "Mola-Ram tackle"

There are plenty of Eagle fans that would really appreciate your comments. I appreciate your kind words on behalf of those Eagle fans. Also, good luck against the Skins and getting the wildcard birth!

i seen the replay over and over, in my opinion it looks like he rolled his ankle, and twisted his knee all together, i wouldnt be suprised if he has a severely sprained ankle, with possibly a sprained ACL. as much as i hate the Eagles and TO (only for dissing the star) it would be a major blow to Philly and their SB hopes. no way this team can win in the playoffs much less win a SB without TO, jmo

He broke Musa Smith's(RB Ravens) leg with this tackle also.

Musa smith broke his leg on his own heel. It's just a coincidence that this was the same type of tackle. Having said that...although I don't like TO at all because of his star dance...I don't want to see anyone go out that way. Eww! :iggles: :skins: :jints:

I thought it was a knee when I saw it, at least a sprain and then I saw the ankle later as well. I find it interesting that they haven't even mentioned the knee, but maybe the immediate pain was the ankle. Sometimes you will see guys blow out a knee and still be able to walk gingerly, TO couldn't even do that so I'm wondering if maybe the ankle hurt so much that he can't even put enough pressure on it to test the knee.
I guess we will find out, but if Tyrone Calico sprained two knees then TO should feel lucky if he got by with just an badly sprained ankle. I guess we will find out soon enough.
BTW, I was wondering if Roy was the one who started that tackling form? I've seen one or two other players do it this year, but I don't remember seeing it a whole lot, if at all before Roy started doing it last year. It certainly is effective, since the the players shoulderpad collar isn't going to move and then Roy just drops his weight. If Roy keeps hurting people like this and other players start to adopt it, I can see them making it like a facemask penalty. I wouldn't agree with it, but I can see it, because it's using the equipment made to protect you, against you.

yes I do.
I think he has a lacerated liver, punctured lung, contusion of the flacuios membrane and a ruptured hemroid.
Roy put a whippin on him.
