Morgan has, in general, played well I think. He had that drop near the end and that really was one he had his hands on. It looked like it slipped in his arms as he tried to cradle it. Wet ball? Still, AB has talent, but his attitude sucks.

Again, one of several questionable roster moves made in the last year or so.

Please don't start this up again. There are plenty of past threads to entertain yourself with.

He had the one drop, but other than that he seemed okay.
Tough to make plays when you need to be on a ladder to catch the ball.

Jury still out.
QM hasn't dropped many passes. He has raw speed and seems to have a good attitude. You will have to add this up against AB's production and attitude over the next year or two to know for sure.

It's in the past. Move on.
Morgan has done a decent job since coming to Dallas. We'll have to live with him for now.

Wasn't this AB's contract year? If so, there's no doubt he'd leave Dallas, to me it's like we got something for nothing.

Until Dallas found a decent QB it doesn't really matter who's playing WR.

Right. AB really made a difference today with 3 catches for thirty yards while his team is shut out.

This is like crowing about Derek Ross being better than Goodrich.
While true it still doesn't amount to much.
AB simply wasn't going to make it here.
He needed a reality check and he got it with the trade.
I do not know if he will ever reach his potential but its not like the kid was cut after one season here.

I don't mind the trade but Morgan does nothing for me.
I would have rather kept AB and traded him in the offseason.

According to what some people say that's basically us, only instead of snow there was rain in Philly.

Whatever. Bryant dropped an easy touchdown pass today. That trade was a wash, and at least Morgan is a team player who will accept his role when we add another weapon in the off-season.

Oh really? You mean the same Morgan that was a cancer for the Browns?
Is this another, "new team, new lease on life" thing?
It did wonders for Plummer

I did catch much of the Brown/Bolt game today and I do not loathe AB, but his hands or his concentration are every bit as bad as they were here.
He dropped too many again today. In all fairness, Morgan did the same in a crucial situation in Philly.
You didn't get great value for Bryant, but they got something I guess. It was quite clear he wasn't a valued piece of this franchise, not at all.
And from what his attitude reflects just about every week, he may never be for anyone. There is no questioning his talent. But that's not enough in this league.
It's just too bad he doesn't get that.

Come one....you can't blame the guy for dropping a ball or two in a freakin snow storm....that trades was a disaster.
Quincy Morgan, are u kidding me!!!

Arguing over this would be like arguing Jay Feidler vs. AJ Feeley.
Accept this as the true statement it is:
They BOTH SUCK.
You think Antonio Bryant is special? He's just like every other talented receiver that never lived up to the hype. He's in a long list of company.

This isn't something new. I'm not picking out an instance or two. The guy has this penchant for *****ing about balls not being thrown to him, but then he turns around and drops too many to be justified.
Or he rounds his routes, or runs them half-heartedly (a common complaint, btw).
For me, the trade might be viewed as bad had we given up on a kid with obvious upside and got nothing. Well, Morgan isn't much, but it's also pretty obvious what Bryant is to this point. AB is going to have some nice games. When the Browns were able to throw the ball, they loved to go vertical.
But none of their receivers are guys you can really depend on to make tough catches consistently. Again, not saying Morgan is because he certainly isn't. I'm sorry we didn't get more for him, but Bryant is going to have these issues until he grows up.
The Steelers had the pick before we took AB in the 2002 NFL Draft. Of course, Antonio played right there at Pitt. But for some reason, Pittsburgh had no problem opting for another WR over Bryant - a kid they would convert to a fulltime WR after playing much of his college career as a QB.
And they never flinched in doing so. Turns out they were right.
