Okay now I know that Dallas Cowboys don't really Deserves to be in the playoffs but I figure out a way they could get in and it's real reasonable...

1 *yz-Philadelphia E 13-1-0
2 y-Atlanta S 11-3-0
3 x-Green Bay N 8-5-0
4 Seattle W 7-7-0
5 Minnesota N 8-6-0
6 St. Louis W 6-8-0
7 Carolina S 6-8-0
8 Tampa Bay S 5-9-0
9 N.Y. Giants E 5-9-0
10 New Orleans S 6-8-0
11 Washington E 5-9-0
12 Dallas E 5-9-0
13 Detroit N 5-9-0
14 Chicago N 5-9-0
15 Arizona W 5-9-0
16 San Francisco W 2-12-0

1st thing first

Week 16: "PROCEDURES"

-Dallas will have to beat Washington Redskins
Result: Dallas will be 6-9 after the game
-Atlanta will have to beat New Oleans Saints
Result: New Oleans Saints will be 6-9 after the game
-Cincinnati will have to beat N.Y. Giants
Result: New York will be 5-10 after the game
-Tampa Bay Bucs will have to beat Carolina Panthers
Result: Carolina Panthers will be 6-9 after the game with 3 divison losses
-Seattle Seahawks would have to be Arizona Cardinals
Result: Arizona Cardinals will be 5-10 after the game
-Philidelphia Eagles will have to beat St. Louis Rams
Result: St.Louis will be 6-9 after the game

Week 17: "DO OR DIE"

-Carolina Panthers will have to beat New Oleans Saints
Result: New Oleans will be 6-10 after game
-New York Jets will have to beat St. Louis Rams
Result: St. Louis Rams will be 6-10 after game
-Arizona Cardinals will have to beat Tampa Bucs
Result: Tampa Bay will be 6-10 after game
-Dallas Cowboys will have to beat N.Y Giants
Result: The Dallas Cowboys will be 7-9 in the playoffs...

Now the explaination for Carolina panthers to win is because the Dallas Cowboys could be them in a tie-breaker only if the Cowboys could blow some teams like Washington and Giants out of the ball-park...and New Oleans got us in a Tie-Breaker head to head so we wouldn't want to mess with that...

But if Tampa Bucs win by little margin and Cowboys wins by Big Margins the Cowboys could be Tampa Bay Bucs in Tie-Breaker...

Let's see, we've lost every possible game that we should of won, but now with a little luck we can go the the playoffs.

Some how I'd bet 1000 to 1 that you're wrong. No wait that's not fair, 1,000,000 to 1.

What you mean NOOOOOOOOOO? Just asking...

What I mean is this:

The "playoff hunt" is what is keeping this team from preparing for the future.....it has been since the middle of the season. We would be further ahead on the "learning curve" by now. By "learning curve", I mean that we would know more than we know now what we have in Romo and Henson. We would be better prepared for FA and the draft as far as "...do we pick up a QB via FA or the draft...", etc.

Keep in mind that I am also one that wants to win every game. I absolutely HATE playing for the draft. I believe it's only losers that say, "Yay, we've got a top 5 pick...". Why? Because sooner or later it becomes "Yay, we've got a top 5 pick....AGAIN."

If we had been playing better as a whole and just had a few unlucky breaks go against us....ie. we are closer than it looks, THEN I would be all for a play-off run this year and not giving up hope. However, I think that we can all agree that if we DID get into the playoffs this year, we WOULD NOT win the Superbowl.

For me, it's all about the Superbowl. Did I mind 1990 and 1991? No, becuase you could see a young team coming together and getting better. Is that what we have now? NO WAY.

I think the easiest way for the Cowboys to be in the playoffs is to buy seats for each game. I'm sure Jerry can pull some strings and get group rates. :D

That's why I said early in one of my post why not Play Romo now... since we consider out of the playoffs... play all of the players you going to develop...

Going to the playoffs just means an early exit and a bump down in the draft. If you want this team to go to the playoffs, you're crazy.

This thread should be locked and deleted.

If BP stumbles across this site and says 'We'll, we're not mathematcally eliminated...', he may as well be saying that VT is starting next week.

I do not want to see VT out on the field ever again. Not even for the post-game handshake.

Our season should be focused on beating the Redskins. That's all.

The best way for the boyz to get into the playoffs is to rebuild in the off season and EARN a spot in the playoffs next season. In NO WAY do we deserve to be seen on the playoff field this year.

Besides, if we were to get into the playoffs this season, BP's buddy VT would be the QB in the game and we all know that no matter how decent we look in the first 3 quarters, he'll play for the other team in the 4th quarter and help the other team win...and what do we get out of it... screwed for the draft

I will NEVER pull for the Cowboys to lose. Period.

Someone is going to get in that we feel "is not worthy." If it is the Cowboys, so be it.

Really, the Cowboys are in the same boat as they were two weeks ago--win out, get a little luck (and it is realistic), and get in.

Plus, let's win out damnit. Think about it if Dallas wins out, that will give them a 4-2 record over the last 6 games of the season. That means we only slipped once--vs. NO--and damn near won a game--Philly--that eveyone was chalking up as a blowout beforehand.

For the life of me, I can't understand the mentality of pulling for your team to lose to get a better draft position. That's a loser mentality IMO.

It's a loser mentality to look for a brighter future? People here are being realistic. We want our team to be strong and proud and I don't think there is a Cowboys fan here that wishes bad on the team. They, including myself, are looking at the big picture and what would be best for the team in the long run. We don't have a complete team right now. We have a few great players and several players that can't cut it or won't cut it. This team needs an overhaul and I for one want the team that I have loved for 37 yrs to be the best they can be and to see them run out on the field being proud to be Cowboys and to play proud and strong. Win or lose, I love my boyz and always will. And as I would want the best for a family member, I want the best for them and IMO the best is to look to the future and not get fixated on a temporary feel good.

having looked at the playoff teams in the nfc who the hell really scares you if the defense plays like it did sunday....................

and suppose he puts romo in this sunday and the kid lights it up or even just doesnt throw a damn interception in the fourth quarter killing our chances to win a game we should by all means have won................

and he comes out again next sunday and beats the giants, then hell yeah i want to go to the playoffs and see just what the kid can accomplish...........

now i use romo cause i believe that is where bill is going, and no matter how many think he is a terminal back up, by the way that is what they thought of brady as well, hence him being the 4th string qb on that team in 2000, stranger things have happened....................................

now go to the superbowl that is another question, but to make the playoffs with a rookie qb, hell yeah i want to go just to see what the kid could do under that kind of pressure and see what the future looks like for us at qb..........

Are they already mathmatically out of the wildcard spot?

I would like the see Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs making history for the team...why not... people act if Cowboys isn't their team...

I don't want to see panthers, Tampa bay, Saints,St. Louis Rams, or Redskins in the playoffs... I rather see Cardinals in it before them...and I rather see Cowboys in it before Cardinals...

noipe... I think it would be good that Dallas go to the playoffs though with Tony Romo as a starter....probably could accidently win a Superbowl....Detroit and Chicago is still in it...
