Everytime I click on any application by clicking on the icon on my desktop or browse folders, go to the countrol panel etc etc, Windows freezes for a split second. Also, whenever I close the any application Windows freezes for a split second.

I believe this started when I got Verizon Fios, but I want to keep an open mind to be able to solve the issue.

I have ran Malwarebytes, Spybot and a Virus Scan.

Looking at my processes, I see "agent.exe" and "teatime.exe", which the latter is for Spybot.

Is there a utility I can use to check my RAM? Any other useful advice would be appreciated.

Remove Malwarebytes. Spybot is more than enough. I'm not sure what virus scanner you have. FiOS itself is nothing but a network and doubtful would cause any issues. Now, if they had you install a bunch of crap you probably didn't need. Then, that CAN cause a problem.

If you have a FiOS router, then you can probably uninstall anything they gave you to install.

nyc, teatime.exe takes up alot of resources. Do you think it could be an issue?

Also, how could I test my RAM. I have 2 gigs.

Looking at add/remove programs, the Verizon tech installed "Verizon help and support tool" and the size is 78.64MB. Thats almost as big as Adobe Bridge.

After removing the Verizon Fios Software the "agent.exe" process is gone.

Let's hope I have solved my problem.

Teatime is what watches for changes to your system. It warns you when something bad might be happening. Leave it be.

Yeah, I know, that is why I kept it. Besides, it has been on my system forever, so I knew it wasn't the issue.

After removing all the crap software from Verizon, so far so good. My PC has never acted like that and it is annoying.

yeah, you don't need that

all you need is a number to call in

Agreed.

I removed it and the 40MB one.

So far so good. Now that I have experienced Justlogmein.com, I am now happy.

And of course, now that I am content, somebody from Portforward.com finally responds to my post, so he/she may be able to shed some light on the router port forwarding problem.
