for the ball for a change. Newman in particular, looked back at least 3 times and had a chance for a pick on all 3 attemps. Even when Roy got beat on that deep ball, he turned around and went for the ball and had a chance for another pick. Very good job by the secondary today.

I still didn't like the fact RW just let the reciever run past him in zone and look at him like oh that's my guy now. If McNabb throws that ball with a little zip that's a easy TD. So no compliments their  we have seen enough of that from him this year. But yes good day overall for the secondary :D

Yeah Newman deserves a lot of credit for a good performance today. Its still depressing to see Scott back there at safety, what's even more sad was that it was depressing when he was getting playing time with Campo as coach and he's somehow still here AND starting! I'm praying Keith Davis gets a fair shot at the position next year or we grab a free safety in the 2nd or 4th round of the draft. Can't see Woody making it back and playing a full season.

that's where QB pressure comes in Roy.. in a split second has to decide.. if Mcnabb is running.. throwing in the intermediate zone etc.. and the receiver made a smart move by improvising and going deep when Roy took a glance @ Mcnabb..

Your main responsibility in coverage class 101 is dont let the receiver BEHIND YOU!

IMO, it comes down to confidence and execution on playing the ball, not the coaching. I seriously doubt Zimmer just discovered in the past 2 weeks to teach DB's to look for the ball, though some posters here probably do believe that is the case.

The pass rush from Ellis and Glover helped a lot, but McNabb more often than not still had way too much time in the pocket to pick us apart, luckily the pass coverage was MUCH improved. Having LB'ers than can actually toss aside blockers or run by them would be helpful.
