THIS shows up outside the front door...

Yes... that is the bad-to-the-bone all electric Tesla sports car...

Cool looking car, but man they look small. 1st time I've seen a pic with someone beside it to get the perspective.

They are a little smaller than I thought too, but it is really nice up close...

Jeez. I could never ride in one of those. Too much man for such a small machine. :D

However, one of those Tesla sedans would be nice.

So when you go 0-60 in under four seconds you can also feel good about the environment.

The guy said it will go 225 miles on one charge...

He said the cost to charge it vs. the cost of gas in a regular car makes it come to about 160 mpg moneywise...

Some really cool technology in that thing.

You could say that about any sports car though.

As far as safety, the Tesla fits in fine in its class.

SUVs suck!

That's right...I said it.

Not because of MPG or enviromental stuff.

Just not an SUV or Truck Person.

I prefer to have a car with a good engine in it and screw the MPG.

<--Drives 86 camaro and just got an 02 Monte Carlo SS, so not worried about mpg.

That telsa looks pretty nice though and seems to do pretty well. Big step up from the prius...which I could probably not even drive up the hill to get to my house.

That car is seven years too new!

:laugh1: It is pretty nice for a poor hillbilly. But I do like the older ones a bit better because the older ones are not as rounded.

Oh well...with the money I had to spend, my choices were limited but I like it.

Now I drive around while half of my body is outside of the sunroof and I scream obscenities at little old ladies. That rocks!1!1

You'd be shocked... I was...

My wife has a Prius and there is nothing sluggish about it. You are doing 80 mph in that thing before you realize it...

We have a VERY steep driveway and it has no issue whatsoever...

I admit, I was shocked and pleasantly surprised by it's performance. It's a fun car to drive...

Maybe...I just know after I had the tempo I vowed to never get another car that was not a V-6 or above.

If I got a running start going up the hill I was ok, If I got stuck behind someone I had to floor it and it still had trouble getting up the hill...hill around my parts, a mountian for some who live elsewhere.:)

My wife and I have watched South Park before, so we no longer refer to them as a Prius. They are now referred to as a Smug-mobile.

My parents own one, and I have to agree. Surprising amount of kick to it. Those Japanese really know how to make their box-shaped cars.

Awesome, hope the technology gets cheaper. Remember LCD TVs about 10 years ago? Now everyone has them.
