Since Roy Williams has entered the league, he has a number of player he has injured over the last three years....

1. Kurt Warner - Thumb
2. RB Smith Baltimore - Leg
3. TO - Leg
4. Derek Ross "Incidental" - 5 games

And there are several other players he has hit, that left the game but later returned.

RW is one of the most punishing players I have ever seen.

Can any one name any other players?

Naw! :D

Actually, you might be shocked to know that I'm beginning to get annoyed with Bill's undying love for Vinny.

the broken nose barker

Roy hits people and they don't get up.

Was Calico the play where he slammed him down and injured both knees?

Thanksgiving Day 2002

Roy was on special teams and broke the Redskins punter's nose (Brian Barker). The guy was bleeding pretty badly during the game.

Come to find out, Barker had to have plastic surgery afterward.

LOL...I think they meant extended timeout due to injury. Although Pinkston, among others probably had sphincter control problems during the course of the game.

I see no problem with chest pumping with quality RW hits that have knocked people out, like the hit on Emmitt, etc.

BUT the "so-called" hits on TO and Calico were him dragging the guy down as they were running away. I know I will get flamed since now everyone is in love with these "punishing hits" he has delivered. But I still see a guy who is a major liability in pass coverage. Yes I know the argument that a DB, yes a DB, is so much more effective close to the LOS..and he is. But that doesn't take away from the fact that he is below avg doing what safeties (yes I know he is a SS playing FS..*sigh*) are supposed to do. Look I know RW can bring the pain and is a solid player. But lets not go overboard in the fact that he seems to have a knack in hurting players with the "drag-them-down" as they are runnning away tackles. Would be interesting to see what a great game he would have had if TO played the entire game. I don't shed any tears over TO's injury and could really care less. The debate about the evil fans who want him hurt vs the fans who can't believe anyone would applaud an injury means little to me. FB is a rough sport and things happen and that goes for the entire NFL. I still think Roy can be a top 3 safety in this league. But right now I see at least 3-4 safeties who are better than him (Reed, Dawkins, and Polamalu..i know he was lost last yr but his play has been stellar this yr) A safety who is 4th - 7th best in the league is nice and I am happy w/ that. But lets not make him out to be more than he is.

Not if everyone responds at the same time. Some type faster than others.

That may have been the worst injury I have seen.

It was not a situation where a top player was taken out for the year, it was not a LT snapping of Theezemans leg...but it just looked terrible and freakish.

It was in no way a laughing matter (and not saying anyone was making it out to be) but it looked like a pigs snout it was pushed back so far. He was really lucky it did not cause brain damage...make it was really gross looking.

Im embarassed as a Cowboy fan to see this type of conversation take place.

To glorify injuries by recognizing Roy's "Pain Train Baby" hit list is deplorable!

You should all be ashamed of yourselves. :angryno:

The only pain the skins have generated on anybody is to Danny Snyders ulcer.

Football is a game a attrition. Everyone knows it and teams suppose to build up their 2nd lines of defense up. Some teams do better than others at it but when u have a player who can put that type of pressure on opposing teams/coaches, its always a plus.

I dont want Roy to become a 'nice' player. I want him to take the opposing teams players heads off again and again.

Cry if you want to. This is not little league soccer where everyones a winner this is FOOTBALL!

I could be wrong but didn't Roy take down Jamal Lewis the exact same way as TO and Lewis missed the rest of that game and a couple weeks after with a severe spain????
