First off the Eagles were not going to the Super Bowl anyway so do not blame that on the Cowboys. Nobody from the NFC Least will go to the big dance this year. I have been saying that all along, if you want an excuse then I guess you can say it is because of TO's injury but it still does not change the fact they were not going.
The tackle on TO was rather wimpy anyway he just pulled him down from behind. It was not like a good hit or anything. Certainly he did not mean to hurt TO.
The Eagles fans and even the trainers are assuming that TO may be back in time for the Super Bowl.
Wow! I did not know they were even invited to play in the Super Bowl! I guess I missed most of the playoffs. Curly

You have "that" vision? You can see into the future?
Still, if no one else is injured in the next two weeks (knock on wood) I like our chances better than ever...I'm not worried about the loss of TO and I won't until I see the offense plays without him.
At least it isn't Westbrook....

Sorry but what games were you watching. The Eagles where the clear favorite to go to the Super Bowl this year. And IMO are the fav's to go even w/o him. Vikings..seahags..packers..please. Who do you think would go to the playoffs from the NFC? I felt all along (as did many) that the eagles were the clear cut fav to win the NFC then would get exposed vs the Steelers or Pats. Now I think they are still the fav's in the NFC. The difference is now I could see a team getting hot in the NFC playoffs and beating them (unlikely) but now, more than ever, if they do go to the super bowl they will get beat down even worse vs the AFC team they play

i think even with TO injured atlanta is the only team that has a chance to beat philly. i think the super bowl winner will come out of the afc again.

That game I just watched gave me a whole lot of hope.

i don't see how anybody following the season as it has unfolded could possibly miss the fact that the eagles were CLEARLY the class of the conference. and in my estimation the injury to terrell owens is HUGE. it puts them squarely back where they were last season. philly is a well-rounded team EXCEPT that - NOW they have a pretty lame receiver corps. i think roy williams just put a MAJOR DAMPER on the eagles season. we'll see.

Philly was by far the best team in the NFC this year with TO. Without him, I think they are still probably the favourite to get to the big game but I don't think they will be able to compete with whoever comes out of the AFC.
It certainly has made the NFC playoffs much more interesting.

Philly nearly lost to the hapless Cowboys and Redskins in back to back weeks.
The clock has struck midnight on Cinderella, and the fairy gawdmother is now injured. Right now, the Seahawks or Panthers could beat the Eagles.

but they didnt lose. carolina?? please tell me that is a joke. and dont bother about carolina last yr. that is when they had s. smith. k.jenkins and their top 2 RB's. short of that all of Carolina's wins in the past 6 weeks have been against joke teams. show me one quality win (no dont even bother with the rams in carolina..people need to get off this time warp w/ the rams..this aint '99) Sorry I hate the eagles as much as more as the next cowboys fan but to say the Panthers (lmao) or seahags are better right now is a joke. AFC will expose the eagles not any team in the weak NFC.

Philly is very beatable....besides, they barely squeeked by two "joke teams" the past two weeks. Panthers are a better football team right now than the Cowboys or the Redskins.

*sigh*
guess i will be labled an eagle lover..once again they WON vs dallas and washington, regardles of the score...all the weeks before they blew out almost every team they faced guess if they dont keep up that pace they arent good. never said the panthers werent better than the boys or skins..they are. that doesnt make them in the same league as the iggles w/ owens (by a longshot) or w/o owens. again this is all opinions til its proven but as bad as the NFC was this yr cant believe anyone thinks the beagles arent still the team to beat. do they have as strong a team as they had on sunday morning? no, not even close. but now they are the #2 team or worse in the NFC..please.

Not saying they aren't the best team, just saying that they ar beatable, and not head and shoulders above anyone they'll play against in the playoffs. TO demanded a ton of respect.....now lets watch the attention get switched to Westbrook....wonder how long he can carry the team.
My guess is they don't make it to the NFCCG.

i agree and that is a good point. they are beatable and this is a severe blow. but i still think they are the best team in the nfc (says more about the quality of the nfc then the current state of the eagles) and w/ home field adv will finally get to the super bowl. before i thought they would lose vs PIT or NE once they got there . now w/, TO out, I know they would get destroyed vs either of them. No matter I am just happy knowing the iggles, imo, wont get a ring this year. Earlier in the yr I was worried they might. But their rush defense, injury to TO, and the step up in class (which they proved they couldnt handle vs PIT) will make the superbowl ring their 7up..never had it..never will.

They are the best team.... in the worst division. The NFC Least. Winning the Super Bowl is a whole nother story and will not happen here. Curly

without TO, every NFC team that makes the playoffs could very well beat the Iggles. Westbrook is the only scoring threat now along with Mcflabb running. There's no way Philly scores more than 10 against Atlanta's or Carolina's D. That's the biggest problems for the iggles, who's gonna score the points now? I think that Gay Bay, Seattle, Minnesota and/or whomever else makes the NFC playoffs has an excellent shot at beating Philly as they all :iggles: will be able to score some points against them and Philly will struggle to score.

Absolute Bull. The Eagles were going to the Super Bowl and now they are not thanks to Roy Williams tackling by the neck. When the best TD receiver in the NFL goes out with a season ending injury it is a totally legititmate excuse.

The Eagles have lost 14TD's out of their lineup. This team will NOT put up points without TO. Philly is just an average team right now. Who are their Receivers now ??? Pinkston and Mitchell. What did they do the 2nd half of the Dallas game when TO went out. The Eagles are AVERAGE now. They lost the guy that produced most of their TD's this season.
Seattle can NOW Beat Philly
GreenBay can NOW Beat Philly
Atlanta can NOW Beat Philly.
All the D has to do is now scheme against Westbrook cause their wideouts do not pose a threat anymore. Hell the cowboys have a better Wideout core now than the Eagles do. Actually we have a much better one now. Now thats funny.

The Eagles were going to the Super Bowl = Absolute Bull (we have these things on the weekends called football games - in a strange set of circumstances the results of these games , involving a playoff tournament, a winner is decided to represent each football conference in the Super Bowl)
now they are not = see above. This is a poor arguement since no proof is given as to the eagles reaching the Super Bowl
thanks to Roy Williams tackling by the neck = Terrell Owens was not tackled by the neck which is illegal but was instead pulled down from behind by Roy Williams who grabbed the upper portion of Owens shoulder pads. Besides if Owens would have been wearing his traditional Sharpie it would have afforded him a little more stability and strength in the ankle area ( kinda like a splint)
When the best TD receiver in the NFL = Owens middle name nor any part of his name is Marvin Harrison so this point is not only subjective but wrong
When a receiver in the NFL goes out with a season ending injury it is a totally legititmate excuse = It may be as you say a legititmate excuse but it certainly is not legitimate nor valid. Injuries are part of the game sonny, get used to it.
Merry Christmas!

How many TD's does Westbrook have ? How many does TO have ?? Thought so. At least it aint westbrook...lol...you should be wishing it was westbrook.
You have "that" vision? You can see into the future?
At least it isn't Westbrook....

I am sorry but i beg to differ with you. The Eagles were a virtual lock to go to the superbowl this year, although winning it was highly doubtful with the powerhousE AFC. Lets face it,there is no challenge coming out of the nfc and they were the elite team this year as much as i hate to admit it. They are still going to the championship game this year.
