View Full Version : I want Indy

If Dallas doesn't win the Super Bowl, it usually doesn't matter to me who does.
But this year I do have some teams I DON'T want to win.
Eagles ... well, just because it's the Eagles.
Patriots ... I don't want them to win 3 out of 4, which would tie the Cowboys.
Steelers ... I live in Steelers country, and that would give all of the Steeler fans something to crow about since that would give them 5 trophies, the same as us.
So I am cheering for Indy. ( or watch out for the Jags, they are playing some good, hard-nosed football right now ... they smacked the Steelers right in the mouth and almost beat them, and then they went to GB and beat Favre in the cold, which almost never happens )

hate the Colts too...hate Manning and Harrison...hate Tony Dungy and hate their owner...I hope Manning throws 4 or 5 picks in a miserable playoff loss...
hate everyone but Dallas to be quite honest...I guess since we wont be in the postseason I'll be hoping the "lesser evils" of teams like the Chargers or Jets win it all...all the other teams can rot

Longtime no see!!!! I'm with you on the Colts and will be pulling for them throughout the playoffs. I think AFC playoffs will provide a lot of excitement this season

My preference is the Colts as well. Gotta protect the Cowboys standing amongst the elite.
Good to hear from you once again WV!

No to the Colts .. because I don't want to hear d*ck about the NEW Tripletts.
So what does that leave me with? Maybe Carolina winning the big one.

IF Dallas doesn't win the Super Bowl
If? Dallas and Super Bowl shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence for 2004.
As for me, i made a $100 dollar bet at the beginning of the season that the Patriots would get to the Super Bowl. I still believe that, but they might have to go to Pittsburgh for the Championship game. That will be tough.

ditto here,
I hate Philly, Minnesota (moss), and Indy the most
Atlanta (sick of Vick) and gay bay are my second tier hated teams
and I actually like the Pats but I can't allow them to win another sb and get compared to our boys.
also hate to see Pitt win with a rookie qb.
I guess I won't mind if seattle, Jax, Carolina, or San diego win it, otherwise ugh...

I feel the same. I was explaining to friends yesterday why I did not want the Steelers, Pats, or Eagles winning one and these were my reasons.

I'd like to see Indy beat the Vikings . . .
If not Indy, then San Diego.
I hate the Jets. I hate the Patriots (because of the Tom Brady man-love-fest). I hate Philadelphia (but I love T.O.'s fibula). I don't want the Steelers to have 5. I hate Minnesota because I hate Randy Moss, and Duante Culpepper (because he always does that annoying 'traveling' thing with his arms).

I have to admit...I would be rooting for Pitt...don't like them, but this year I am very envious of their team...
~ Balls to start a young talented QB...yes I know Maddox went down, but he's starting now.
~ Running a stout 3-4 defense
~ Took Duce Staley...who I wanted badly as out vet RB...love JJ, but at the time wanted Duce.
These are things I wish for with Da Boys in the near future.

Since Dallas isnt in it i will be pulling for the colts to take it all. I do have to admit that there defense is rather on the "NO-SO-GOOD SIDE" so i dont if they have what it takes to win it all. Wifey is pulling for the steelers so i kind of have to be hush hush when indy plays.

I think if the Cowboys are out of it. I would pull for the Packers so Farve will retire.

You know i never thought of it from that angle before. I am getting really tired of seeing his face and his name mentioned every stinking sunday or monday.

I hope he keeps playing...guy is pretty lousy at this point...and you can always count on a Favre meltdown in the postseason nowadays

Just as long as Philly (he ll on earth), New England (3 in 4 year tie) or Pitt (tie us for #5) doesn't win the big one, I could care less. Well Atlanta either - I'm not sure I want to hear about the Great and Powerful Michael Vick all year either - but I'd take that over the other three which would be AWFUL for a Cowboys fan.
I prefer Indy, San Diego, Jacksonville, or Carolina.

I'll be pulling for Indy too. But with their defense, I don't see them winning two games on the road in the playoffs (@ NE and probably @ Pitts). I like Manning (GO VOLS) and hate Pittsburgh and don't want NE to win 3 of the last 4 SB's.
In the NFC I hate Philly, but even without TO, I think it'd still be a major upset if Philly lost in the NFC playoffs. The NFC is so weak- Atlanta is the #2 team and they are vastly over-rated and so is Vick. I'd take any of the other playoff teams in the NFC other than Philly, preferrably Carolina or Atlanta, but I just don't see it.
The worst case scenario would by Philly vs. Pittsburgh.
The best case would be Indy or SD vs Carolina or Atlanta.

Colts vs. the Packers would be fun for me to watch. Their game earlier this year was quite the shootout.
Chargers vs. the Falcons would interest me too for the side story of the trade that got them Vick.
I'm rooting for Manning. He is a class act IMO. I hate the labels he gets.
My dark horse is the Vikings.
