Yesterday while at my doc's office I had the opportunity to have myself weighed. I haven't weighed very often but know I have been losing as I have been cutting back and trying to get more active since I was in the hospital last October.

Last October I weighed 406 pounds. Yesterday I weighed...295 pounds! For a loss of...111 pounds! Now I knew I was losing along the way but I didn't think it was that much :) know what my Doc told me?...Lose more!

I knew I had lost a lot, I went from a 56 inch waist to a 44/46. I intentionally have not weighed on a regular basis. So this came as a bit of a shock.

That's about it. Just cutting down and trying to get more exercise. When I got out of the hospital my sense of taste was non existent, and iI lost my appetite for a long time. I guess I just didn't go back to "normal".

You people make me sick.

Wanting to conform to society by losing weight.

Just terrible I tell you.

Just embrace the fat man in you.

Just Kidding.

Congrats Cliff.

Sounds like you are kicking butt, or in this case losing it.

Keep up the good work.

How have you done it? I can't lose weight for nothing. Not matter what I do.

Sometimes you're just at an "optimal" (not for health, but for lifestyle) weight and it's impossible to lose weight. I'm talking for people who are like 30 lbs. or less overweight.

The only option at that point is to change your lifestyle (work less, spend more time outdoors, etc.)... not just "eat less".

First you have to change your username, just to get into the right frame of mind. ;)

Nice job man. I'm currently working on that myself. At max, I was 330 pounds or so. I'm now at 282. I still have a good 80 pounds to lose, but hey, it's a start.

Frickin awesome man.

Dont get satisfied though.

You're still hefty! Keep fighting that battle.

If I were you I think now would be a good time to start a hardcore/strict diet and shed the rest of it ASAP.

That is incredible. Grats!

I just started trying to lose some weight and get into shape. I started the P90X system. It's great if you get where you really want to tone up.

My goal is 220. Soon I'll have to consider joining a gym or otherwise doing some weights. Try to lessen the loose skin. Doc said to take it slow, he adjusted my meds. Went from Five prescriptions to Two.
