I know everyone is gloom & doom right now. I may be totally off base, but here's my conspiracy theory. Parcells is going up against Gibbs. He doesn't want to give anything away. If he says 2 QBs are preparing, then that defense has to get ready for both, rather than focusing on just Romo. I still wouldn't be surprised to see Romo go in fairly early, particularly if JuJo is getting some runs.

Im probably Parcells biggest detractor.
Im not even upset right now, just numb.
Its Christmas, I'll start moaning next week.

I agree with you, I think Romo will see some playing time and would not suprise me to see that take place somewheres in the 1st half. I also think it takes some of the self made pressure off Romo to sit a few series before entering the game.

I dont know, its not exactly hard to prepare for Vinny, blitz the hell out of him and should he decide to change things up and line up behind the guard, point, laugh, and roll as the ref throws the flag.....

It does not matter who starts...they will stop the run and pressure Vinny...no different then if Romo starts. Vinny is NO threat. They will pin ears back same as any rookie in there. This is BS....

I really think it depends. I think Parcells is just trying to set up Romo to succeed.
He probably feels that there are some things the Redskins could do that Romo may not handle well, so he wants to see what they are doing.
He also probably feels this will be beneficial to Romo to see first. I can understand that.
But, if the Skins are coming with a approach he does not feel Romo will be able to handle very well, I do not think we will see him.
It really just depends IMO, but I do think he wants to get him in there.
I also think he wants to see how well our O-Line is playing. If we are blowing assignments left and right I do not think he goes in. But if the O-Line looks to be playing well, I think that will help.
IMO, I think he should just start Romo, but I ain't throwing no hissy fit about it.

Interesting you should mention that. Ryan Young was on ESPN 103.3 this morning (in DFW). This was a couple of hours before the PC today and he predicted Parcells will want to do everything he can to beat Joe Gibbs. You know, they have hate losing to one another.
And according to Young - to Parcells, that would mean going with Vinny.
:(
Sounds plausible to me. I just consider this entire season now to be pretty much a waste. JJones has been a pleasant surprise, not much else to crow about. At this point, if Romo and Henson get the equiavalent of one and half games playing time, cant say as that would be significant, IMHO.
Of the 53 on the roster, we may see 25 or more somewhere else or out of football next year.

I agree and feel this is part of Parcells' dilemma. He doesn't want to announce a Romo/Henson start to then see a hail of bltzes.
He's thinking way too much. Heck, if you announce a Romo start, then I'd find it funny that the defense would practice several blitzes only to find Vinnie playing half the snaps. Ironically the blitzes would probably kill the immobile Testaverde before either Henson or Romo.
Overall I agree VT will make several normal plays that the young QB's would miss, but it is borderline incompetant to not give these young guys more real playing time.
