Our guy Anthony Davis is a pro bowler anywhere except C.
Davis, Brewster, Free, Preston, is all the depth needed.

I dont like Shipley, I want Jacoby Ford. And a sleeper at WR is Brandon Banks

Interesting pick....

we may want to start looking hard at DL.

We're likely to lose Spears. I think Hatcher is a FA next year too.

Doubt we lose Spears AND Hatcher. I'd like to keep Hatcher. Hopefully get a Boo Robinson through the draft or a Gabe Watson through FA.

Everything about him is average.

We should be in line for 1 WR next year in the 2nd round, and I think he needs to have playmaking ability.

Dont want Shipley in the 2nd. 3rd round is a good spot for a NT, then 4th (or a trade up for another 3rd) for a safety.

Im cool w/ Anthony Davis, then Boo(Watch out for a combine rise though), and Golden Tate

if we do take a WR first its

Dez Bryant*, Oklahoma State - Scouting Report (http://walterfootball.com/scoutingreport2010dbryant.php)
Height: 6-2. Weight: 210.
Projected 40 Time: 4.54.
Projected Round (2010): Top 25 Pick.
2/7/09: A dynamic player in Oklahoma State's explosive offense, Dez Bryant registered 87 receptions for 1,480 yards and 19 touchdowns as a mere sophomore. And he's only going to get better. Bryant also returned two punts to the house

Strengths:
· Above average height
· Good muscle definition
· Great hands
· Will come back to the quarterback and present a window
· Dominant on jump balls
· Attacks ball at apex
· Gets off line of scrimmage
· Coordinated and can adjust to the ball
· Knows how to set up a receiver and flip their hips
· Athletic
· Nice sideline awareness
· Tough to tackle
· Explosive punt returner
· Good running vision
· Decent amount of upside

or

Damian Williams*, USC - Scouting Report (http://walterfootball.com/scoutingreport2010dwilliams.php)
Height: 6-1. Weight: 190.
Projected 40 Time: 4.45.
Projected Round (2010): Top 20 Pick.
2/7/09: Debacled Penn State in the Rose Bowl Presented by Kraft, catching 10 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown. Williams finished the season with 58 receptions, 869 yards and four scores.

7/26/08: Had to sit out the 2007 campaign because he transferred from Arkansas to USC. As a sophomore in 2006, Williams put up poor numbers (19 receptions), but played in a very limited passing attack. He should be able to thrive at USC, assuming he gets enough targets.

Strengths:
· Good height with room to bulk
· Very soft hands; rarely drops passes
· Great body control
· Catches ball at highest point
· Excellent hand-eye coordination
· Love his ball skills

· Does an outstanding job of changing speeds in/out of routes
· Generates very solid Y.A.C.
· Recognizes various coverages
· Can find soft spots in zone
· Eats up off-man cushion quickly, then separates
· Gets two feet in on sideline catches; aware
· Highly talented with great upside
· Polished player
· Operated in traditional West Coast offense
· Plays with a lot of heart
· Good character and reportedly great work

No.

Shipley gives us a PR/KR

He is also deadly in the slot.

When Texas lost Blaine Irby last year Shipley basically filled a TE role by eating up under neath routes.

He is a dangerous slot guy and he has blazing speed.

I could see him actually sneaking into the late 1st round. He is a more talented Welker.

If Brandon Spikes is on the board and we pick a WR I will hunt Jerry down and have him watch every defensive snap of the Florida Gators the last couple of years. Yea I know we have B.James and J.Williams but you can never have enough Lbers in a 3-4 and although I like D.Williams you don't pass up a talent like Spikes.

Shipley is average? Really? Ask Colt McCoy and the Longhorns offense....ask all of the Longhorns opponents.....Shipley is way above average.

comparing Shipley to Amendola is like giving Jordan a swift kick in the sac.....

Shipley is awesome. He is one of the best WRs in the country. He runs great routes, is quick and fast, has great hands, is a very good KR, and is smart. Also, He is humble, a team player, a team leader, a hard worker, and definitely not a prima donna or a head case.

Honestly, my only knock on Shipley would be his health. Hopefully he has turned the corner on this issue.

Did Shipley juke that KSU defender into a broken leg or blown out knee at the 1:25 mark of the video?

If we determine WR is a top need for us (Hurd and Austin will be unrestricted FA's) then this is the draft for us.

Arrelious Benn - Illinois
Dez Bryant - Okie State
Damian Williams - USC
Golden Tate - Notre Dame
Marshawn Gilyard - Cincinnati
Brandon LaFell - LSU
Jordan Shipley - Texas
Ronald Johnson - USC

RoJo is a taller, faster Steve Smith (NYG). He broke his collarbone and will miss the first six games, so I think he may end up staying for his Senior year.

I'd like to add Graig Cooper from Miami to this list. The have him listed at RB but I see him as a Reggie Bush/Devin Hester/Percy Harvin type player. Great return guy and dangerous whenever he touches the ball. Supposedly runs a 4.38 40.

He's 6'0" 205. Bush is 6'0" 203, Harvin is 5'11" 192, and Hester is 5'11" 190.

Cooper is a RB and his game really isn't much like Bush.

He runs pretty hard for a speed guy. I think he'll be an excellent pro.
