So about a year ago or so, I asked the CZ for advice because my 7 year old wanted to take guitar lessons. Brainpaint and others gave me some good advice, and he's been playing for about a year now.

He had his first concert/recital this weekend, and I thought I'd post a couple of videos of him playing.

The first two are songs he made up himself, and the third is him playing "Back in Black" with his instructor and one of the other teachers on the drums.

Thanks for sharing those vids w/ us. He is a talented little guy. I showed my own runt these vids and he's now asking me if he can learn guitar. :confused:

Thanks Dallas.

I was pretty impressed with him because he had just finished playing in his football game. We had to rush from the football field to the recital, changing out of his pads in the car. As soon as we entered the recital hall, it was his turn to play, so he didn't even have one minute to get settled down, he just went up and played.

His teacher calls him the "most Metal 8-year-old" he's ever met! :D

Not bad man..I wish I had started at such a young age.. You're learnin him up good. Now all he has to do is win us a superbowl!

Thanks guys. Appreciate your advice as well.

He really enjoys it, and I like listening to it a lot better than the piano, or (God forbid) drums. Plus, it gives me a chance to influence him with my 80s rock favorites. :D
