so we can be guaranteed the #1 pick.
I'm sure that would get quite a few of you excited, since that's apparently all you live for.

Never mind in two seasons Parcells has picked a few pro bowlers.

I'm all for winnning, when it means something. This was a meaningless game at the end of a lost season. I'd rather have lost with Romo or Henson in, than get a come from behind win with Captian CaveMan at QB. While draft position at this point is something to think about, its more important to see what we actually have already on this team. And hopefully Vinny isn't on the team next year.

I agree...
Remember, when we selected Aikman it was because we lost the last game of the season...
So, I guess the thinking is that this franchise would have been MUCH better off if we won that game and selected Tony Mandarich and Green Bay got Aikman instead of us.
Uh, the difference between 5-11 and 6-10, isn't all that exciting to me...
And when you consider the fact that this is going to be substantial turn over of this roster next year, it means even less.

With Vinnie T as our starter... we're close, very close.

Hey, I hear ya...I just think it's kinda silly for people to be SO black and white, either way...
The new sig pic...actually, it's a painting that I had done...I explained to the artist exactly what I wanted...every detail...and he did a great job...it's hanging up in my house...
The artist sells prints of it at his website...

I don't think today cost us the #1 pick, or probably even a top 5 pick.
Also, I don't think there are any Troy Aikman's available in this upcoming draft.
I have suggested possibly taking a QB next April and many have jumped all over me saying that this will be a very weak QB draft and they wouldn't waste a pick on Leinart or Rogers in the first.
I also remember losing to a pathetic Lions team at the end of the '01 season. That loss moved us from 8th to 6th in the draft. What did we do? We traded down from 6th to 8th and still got the guy we wanted: Roy Williams. Neither of the guys we got with the extra picks we obtained with that trade are on the team now. That loss that many wished for actually gained us ZILCH. We ended up with the same thing as we would've had if we had won.
Now I do remember the GB game at the end of '88. I didn't root for us to lose, but I wasn't upset that we did since in did give us the top pick and Aikman.
But most cases, 3 or 4 spots isn't going to make that much difference - especially when Jerry is in the draft room. I have no problem with looking at draft position as a consolation to losing. But I'm not going to root for a loss, especially not against Washington. :skins:

Didn't Carolina start off 1-7 this year?
When should they have started to plan for 2005?
After it will be decided after the final game of the season next week wether or not they'll be in the playoffs?
Quiters NEVER win. And even if the skins or whoever do get a D. Johnson or M. Williams, draft someone that can stop them and put 'em on their a$$!

With Parcells and Vinny here and probaly bein back next year there is a good chance 0-16 could happen.

Then that would give us the #1 pick and probably make many around here ecstatic.
But I doubt no matter how much some would want us to, that we'd go 0-16...because we play Washington twice!

This kind of sentiment baffles me. The Seahawks game maybe, or some AFC team... but this was the Freaking Redskins!
It's not a meaningless game! Anyone who says this should be forced to spend a football season in Washington.
These clowns have been talking playoffs like it's a certainty ALL WEEK LONG! And we put an end to it. We crushed their spirits and ripped out their hearts.
It was a rich and rewarding win. Perhaps moreso than the 27-0 win last year. It was a crushing heartbreaker for them. You should hear them cry about it.
Please people, some perspective. We just swept the Redskins AGAIN. The team has some problems, but this is a friggin great win. Made my Christmas!
