View Full Version : The Never Ending Nightmare

Someone, please, wake me up. I keep dreaming that no matter what happens, no matter how many poor decisions, no matter how many interceptions, no matter what our record, or how meaningless the games become, Parcells refuses to pull a 41 year old Vinny Testaverde. And what is worse is that I keep dreaming that the opposing teams keep giving Parcells an excuse to do this to us by playing horribly against us despite the endless opportunities we give them. I keep seeing last ditch throws into the end zone work out. Would someone please wake me up, I'm sure this must be a bad, bad dream. Surely a 5-9, uhhh, 6-9 team wouldn't keep hanging with a 41 year old QB would they? Please, wake me up.

If you sleeping means we win, I hope you and Rip Van Winkle are related. :)

What if my sleeping means you have a 42 year old starting QB next year? How ya feel about that?
Honestly, anyone who doesn't think this is getting insane has a form of insanity themselves. This is getting past the point of absurd, and even homer announcers like Daryl Johnston admit it, even while they are trying to defend it.

The reason you don't understand us is because our position continues to be skewed in the media. This isn't about winning a single game, this is about having a future. We have none at this point, not at the QB position.

Why did you wake up? We won. I don't like Vinny. That's not the point. If either QB named Romo or Henson played today what would that tell you. I've read your whinning for weeks, and I want to ask you... What do we have better than Vinny.
1. An undrafted QB out of a D2 school. If Quincy would have not got cut, he would not have made the team.
2. A QB that has spent the last 3 years playing Baseball. Neither is ready. That is the reality of the situation.
Dallas went to training camp with one starter, one backup and one qb with hope of being the next Troy Aikman 2 to 3 years down the line.
They left trainging camp with one backup, one (hopefully) future franchise qb and Romo. I can tell you, odds are against Romo being the franchise guy. Maybe in time he becomes a solid number 2 like Jason Garret.
That's reality. The space you travel in, well suffice it to say its not reality...

Dough boy, your are full of yeast. First off, I'm not whining , I'm stating some sound common sense. If wanting to put Henson in (I'm not a Romo fan) to get him some experience is outside the realm of sanity at this point in the season, then I'm just insane. If wanting a 41 year old, interception machine to keep playing is sanity, then you are on top of the world my friend.
So, you and Big Bill think alike, congratulations.

Do you want to put Henson in even if he is not ready. That would be akin to what we did the Hutch. Those that don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. I say put Henson in when he is ready. I don't like the fact that we have a 41 year old QB with two young guys on the bench. I would rather Henson playing. But if Henson is not ready, then what should the Dallas brass do.
And you can't turn me into a Parcells apologist. That's your whole MO dude. I simply let logic be the guide. The world you live in must be a fun place. But back to your original post. Just go back to sleep. I can assure you, you want be missed.

I'm not turning you into a Parcell's apologist, YOU are the one demonstrating that you have swallowed his bull corn. The world I live in is a very fun place thank you. I don't have an MO, I don't need an MO, I just tell it like I see it. And btw, if you won't miss me, then no need for you to return to this thread. Gnite.
