Did Dixon get cut?

You may be right... but I think he sticks with this team in a back-up roll in some way or another...

that being said... regardless of Dixon's status on the roster... that was as bad a draft as any team has ever had I would suspect...

yup that draft was a big low point in the past 8 yrs (and there have been alot of those). Not having a 1st rd pick I was not expecting much. But after the horrible reach for Quincy (in which I think they traded down a few picks as if to act like that justified the pick) and then the rest of that draft just had me shaking my head. usually even if ur not sure of the picks you have some sort of optimism but not that year.

Yep. Utterly ridiculous. Players Dallas drafted prior to Parcells' arrival? Only eight remain. That would be eight - all drafts combined.

Won't be doing much with that sort of draft ineptitude regardless of who's coaching it.

Okay, nine for me too counting Dixon.

Not for long though. And that number will dwindle aside from ol' Tony, btw.

Piss poor drafting is why we're in the shape we're in now. This team needs a legit GM in the worst way. I like Parcells as a coach but his GM skills do not impress me.

Our previous GM was responsible for that draft...

Neither have been impressive in that respect...

Look on the bright side, we cant possibly do any worse again in a draft ever.

While the topic of the 2001 Draft has come up after today's release of Matt Lehr, let's not forget the disaster that was the 2000 Draft.

Dewayne Goodrich, Kareem Larrimore, Michael Wiley, Mario Edwards, and Orantes Grant!!

Man...it makes you wonder how we aren't 1-15 again if you really look at how bad both drafts were. Many of these players should be the core of our team today and they are ALL gone except for Dixon, and his chances of sticking around appear slim at best.

Cant' argue with any of that. This must change for this team to get better. Building and maintaining through the draft is crucial - in the era of the salary cap and otherwise, but moreso now.

Far cry from our best drafts. Man could we ever use another "Dirty Dozen" draft.

Heck... with our track record lately... I would settle for a "Dirty Deuce" draft...

Well... thinking how some use the word "Deuce" is used around here at times... our past few HAVE been "Dirty Deuce" drafts...

Let's make it a "Dirty Dos" draft... :D

Anyone remember how we thought the 2002 draft was the end of our draft drought was over?

A day 1 and a Antonio Bryant, Andre Gurode, Derek Ross later what have we learned?

Two 1st, an early 2nd in 2005 just doesn't have me excited the way it use to be.

Unfortunately I do remember feeling that way.

Gurode may still be salvagable... he looked pretty good his rookie year...

I am starting to think about forming the G.R.O.W. Club... (get rid of Warhop)... our OL is pitiful... and it shouldn't be...
