Really good deal if you have some friends or family in close proximity.
Superbowl weekend is Feb. 7th so that wouldn't be a bad time to go and visit someone.
Trying to convince a buddy to come out this way, SLC to KC for $192 round trip.

LOL. I saw the "To New York for $25," clicked on it and it's to Albany.

It sucks that they don't even go to Richmond. Crazy.

Little Rock and Nashville have Southwest flights but Memphis doesn't. :bang2:
So if I want a cheap flight I have to drive 3 hrs east or 2 hrs west.

I was hoping it would change when Delta and Northwest merged but no such luck. They kept Memphis as a hub city.

If I hadn't just got back from Chicago, I'd go again in Jan. Tix would be about $160, which is only about $30 less than what I paid before.

From my own experience with SW I would avoid it. Do you know that every passenger can sit anywhere they want? This leads to people almost running each over just to be able to sit with friends or family. It felt like people flying around trying to catch thrown money. It may sound great but the few extra bucks with Jet Blue will save you a lot of trouble.

I liked that you could pick your own seat. I'm always early so I get my choice of seats.

wish JetBlue still serviced Nashville. I do like Southwest to an extent. Free checked bags.

You could just jump on the train from there. Its only a couple hours difference really.

Yeager, were you by your self or w/friends or family? If I were alone it would be fine just not with company. I could care less where I sit I just don't want people running over me to get window or aisle seats. It's not like they let everyone board at the same time either so If you're early in the "ranking" you can pick your own seats but if you're the bottom half it sucks.

Well nevermind then:) I just had a bad experience I guess, I had to sit w/strangers and listen to them moan about church and whatever else their ignorant ***** would talk about. I'm just bitter.

Isn't that true on about 100% of all flights?
Every time I have flown on any airline since I first started flying in the early 80's it's always been that way. I suspect it won't ever change.

Try getting stuck beside a screaming baby from Frankfort to Philly. That was a fun flight but since it was my last one from Germany I managed. :D
