Vinny Testaverde

Att Comp Yds Comp% Yds/Att TD TD % INT INT% Long Sack Rating

495 297 3532 60.0 7.1 17 3.4 20 4.0 53 35/186 76.4

Drew Henson

Att Comp Yds Comp% Yds/Att TD TD % INT INT% Long Sack Rating

18 10 78 55.6 4.3 1 5.6 1 5.6 16 2/26 61.8

Vinny had a better over all QB rating. Henson had a better TD/INT ratio. Drews only start came on Thanksgiving day when he had little time to prepare. My conjecture on this is that Drew would have had a better season than Vinny, had he been allowed to acclaiment himself to the game with some more to adjust and prepare (like a whole weeks practice before his 1st start). If he was given the same chance as Eli this year (8 starts) he stats would have been much better than Vinny's and we would have won more games.

Of course, this is just my take on things.

I don't know if Henson would have had a better statistical year than VT had he started since defenses would have game planned against us differently with Henson at the helm. But I do think he would have gained some invaluable experience that would have allowed him to see live defenses which would have helped him get a feel for the game. In a way, I hope he does go to NFL Europe just to get some playing experience and build up his confidence.

I think its a bit of a stretch to predict anything off of 18 pass attempts.

Furthermore, Eli didn't even have a better season than Vinny, and he's a #1 pick not coming off of a 3 year layoff.

Certainly there are legitimate arguments that Drew should have played more this year. Saying that he would have definitely been better than Vinny is a reach though.

AMEN!!!!

You know you have too much time on your hands when you compare Vinny's stats with Henson's and try to surmise that Henson would have been the better quarterback.

LLLLLLOOOOOOLLLLLLL!!!!!

This isn't television folks, where women with less body mass and equivalent fighting skills can whip a man.

This isn't television folks, where you can get hit repeatedly in the face or fall from buildings and shake it off like it was nothing.

This is reality, and the reality is that Henson has been out of football for four years. It defies logic that he would be able to step into the saddle and perform better than a 18 year veteran.

Please, people, I understand you want to see Henson behind center. I do too. But let's can these ridiculous comparisons.

Hey, just my opinion....I guess we will never know now anyhow.

Granted, 18 pass's is hard to extrapulate into a half a season. Just giving you my gut feeling....And that is that Henson would have out performed Vinny in the 2nd half of the year.

No way either side can prove this argument. But that is my 2 cents worth.
