"Several sources said Friday that the Cowboys have discussed a possible trade with the Chicago Bears that would send running back Anthony Thomas to the Cowboys for a second-round pick. Jones could not be reached for comment"
its in todays DMN...if we trade a 2nd rd pick for Thomas I'll freaking blow up my TV...maybe our 3rd if we trade down for more picks, or peferably a 2nd day pick...but if we give up a 2nd for him that sux

That will totally suck and I really doubt that if it is true. Good thing we don't have to wait too much longer.

Make that the second to Cleveland for William Green, please.

This is the 3rd story I think I've read that said Dallas was considering this trade. I'd be disappointed if we gave up our 2nd. If Dallas was able to get an early 3rd for LA, losing the 2nd wouldn't be so bad.
We might all have to deal with the reality today that BP really doesn't care much for the RBs in this draft. Or maybe this is all just rumors to keep somebody from leapfrogging them.

Don't mind A-train at all but for a 2nd ? I'll pass.

On Jerry's interview with Mickey, he was saying that this draft has better rb options than last year. So I don't buy this rumor, especially anything over a fourth. The Bears probably called the Cowboys and Jerry said no thanks.
William Green would be a better option.

A buddy of mine is a Bear's fan and mentioned this to me last week. I wouldn't mind getting Thomas but a 2nd round pick is WAY too much to give for him.

I would be happier with that but that is still to much for a player who had a bad year last year with all the off field stuff but I would like to have Green over ATrain without a doubt. I thought Chicago came out and denied this rumor? I really hope BP is smart enough not to give up at 2nd for ATrain.

Don't worry, no second will go to another team on a tailback.
No first will be used on one either, I expect. :D
Unless somehow something comes in for Larry Allen today. Then that changes the strategy.
With a draft a bit deeper in the first than usual, it's a trade-down, get-as- many-picks-as-you-can draft, not a throw-a-second-away one.

Again.....NO!!
Our second should be used on an OL if we go RB in the 1st or RB if we go OL in the 1st.
Not on someone the Bears are trying to unload!!
The nerve of some people!
Just for the hell of it ...NO!

the only way i would trade for the A-Train, is to either send them LA straight up or that measley 4th that the Lions are offering for LA and return the Lions send us a late draft pick.

If they wouldn't give up a second for a real running back like Dillon, then I doubt they would part with a 2nd for a mediocre Anthony Thomas.

What a crappy, crappy trade. If that's the case I'm going to end up turning off the draft and calling it a day. If we're going to go wasting picks on players it might as well be for Perry.

First of all, Noooooo!
Second of all, there will be way better backs available in the second round than Thomas.

I mean heck, if we want an Anthony Thomas why in the heck not just trade down, pick up an extra pick, and grab Chris Perry? At least Perry is younger.
