Report: Lions Agree to 6 Year, $46 million extension with DT Rogers

According to John Clayton of ESPN, the Detroit Lions (http://www.nflfans.com/draft/forum/viewtopic.php?forum=1&showtopic=20879&fromblock=yes#) reached a 6 year, $46 million contract extension with defensive tackle Shaun Rogers.

Drafted in the second round of the 2001 draft, Rogers will be making his first trip to the Pro Bowl this year. He has 11 solo tackles and 4 sacks this year.

Rogers is the third Lion to re-sign this week. Detroit also reached agreements with punter Nick Harris and LB Donte Curry.

I read somewhere that if he didn't sign they would have franchised him.
