1st with Jerry Jones, he just stated that the down year probably came from Free Agency last year, even Parcells said, that he should have gotten 2 key players and he didnt. So, who is the 1st problem, Jerry not wanting to spend money or Parcells for passing on players, remember we passed on Delhomme QB with Carolina, then Bert Berry who signed with Arizona. So whom do we blame, and have writers from sports news attack-Parcells or Jerry Jones?

2nd, our offensive line has stunk all year, with exception of Al Johnson mainly, and Larry Allen trying to play, is that the players fault-guys like Flozell Adams, Turrin Tucker, Greounde or is that the offensive line coach, who is to blame, remember guys the last pro bowl, the NFC had Flozell Adams play at right offensive tackle, then you take a guy that has played offensive line 4 years at college Jacob Rogers and he doesnt get on the field, who is to blame guys?

3rd-When we needed to get a play off quickly so instant replay didnt get called, we were slow to do so, who is to blame Parcells or players?

4th-I watched and replayed most of last 3 games, going into the 4th quarter, again Parcells changed defense to 3-4, 6 defensive line, man to man, cover 42, etc. Zimmer asked the defensive players why they werent making plays and the guys said, they were making the players do to much, (is it that the players are not smart enough to deal with that, whereas the new england defensive guys do that much defenses coverages and more, or is it Zimmer not teaaching or Parcells? Who is to blame?

5th, Remembering the Dallas Pittsburgh game the Pittsburgh fans were more vocal than our fans, and this game was played in Dallas, are our fans to spoiled, not rowdy enough,? What is the fan problem guys?

6th- since we havent played Henson or Romo, (Rome for example has been on team for 2 years, yet, Parcells says he isnt ready, to me that is a coaching problem, and not having the player ready when he needs to be ready to play, so who is at fault? Now we dont know who our startting QB is for next year? Whom is to blame guys?

7th If you noticed what Roy Williams safety said on Mickeys post on www.dallascowboys.com site, he stated that some players were fighting and some werent, even Parcells said that most of players were hard working, but about 3-4 players werent, so what is the attitude problem, commitment, desire to play, to me that is the focal point of biggest problem, ala Campo era, most players would play like a game or 2, then not really show up, you take guys like Flozell Adams, this guy now is 6-7, 350 pounds, monster of a man, yet, he just stands still and lets a player run around him, cause Testervarde fumble, even if you remember the defenisve player that went around Flozell and tacked Julious Jones for a loss, very next play while all other offensive players are at line, Flozell jumps back 2 yards, that to me is one of the BIGGEST PROBLEMS, HIS ATTITUDE, so does that come for not caring, not dedicated, not worked hard enough, what guys? TO ME YOU FIX THAT ATTITUDE PROBLEM YOU GOT MOST OF TEAM FIXED, BUT THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED BEFORE YOU CAN DO ANYTHING ELSE,
JOE

I just want to respond to #1. I don't think Jerry has a problem spending money. He gave a ton of it away to guys like Dieon, Emmitt and Larry Allen not to mention busts like Wiley. I don't think Jerry is the problem. Probably more like Parcells. There just wasn't enough of HIS guys in FA. That's all.

JOEFor the 400,000th time. Vinny is still alive and Flozell protected his blind side. Flozell didn't play 1/10 as bad as some of you guys would like to believe. Al Johnson got his arse blown up plenty of times this year. Who's to blame for Jacob Rogers not getting on the field? Jacob Rogers, that's who.
BTW: USC has really missed Rogers there at left tackle. Maybe we should try to get the freshman that took his place.

Yeah, Bert Berry would have been nice, but what would have really changed. We might have had a couple more wins, but he'll be on decline by the time we're challenging for a Super Bowl.

I don't agree with Jerry. I feel the down year came from people we were counting on from last year didn't perform. Almost 100% failure -- Quincy Carter, Willie Blade, Darren Woodson, Flo Adams, Antonio Bryant, Darren Woodson, and Pete Hunter. To an extent, Terrance Newman and Roy Williams as well. Add to that Dexter Coakley dropping off the cliff. It's not the Free Agents that never were.

Flo's pass blocking doesn't appear to have anything to do with coaching. The Warhop crutch I've been hearing is silly. Flo was never light footed to begin with. Slowness off the line is due to eroding skill, being out of shape, being lazy, not hearing the QB, not knowing the snap count, or being injured. Since he played so well last year and is in what should be his prime years, the first option seems unlikely. He didn't appear injured and there were no rumors. So what's most likely?

Also, I don't think he's played as bad as people make it out to be, and I don't think he was as good last year as people think. Quincy prevented quite a few sacks.

Torrin Tucker, same deal minus the production last year. He's slow footed. We knew that going in. His natural position is guard. Problems are due to physical limitations, a lack of experience, and possibly a lack of smarts or studying. Not due to coaching. He was an undrafted FA and he was starting. Kearse did nothing vs him. Strahan did nothing. He'll be in the mix for a starting guard position in 2005.

Vollers is just better at this point and Jacob Rogers is a rookie hopefully just going through typical rookie struggles. Gurode has never been consistent. It's possible he just isnt very good, though I suspect it has a lot to do with laziness.

It doesn't matter who we add on D as long as Zimmer remains with his play run first menality.

I think Jerry pretty much signs who Bill wants, with the occasional suggestion of who he'd like to see added as well.

Just look at the guys we've brought in. Glenn, Johnson, Vinny, Anderson, Ward...these are all Parcells choices.

When Parcells was hired, most here figured we weren't going to be flashy in free agency. To date, our off-seasons have followed suit.

dale, when richie was brought in he was the coconut on our doughnut. he was the teams offensive MVP at fullback last season. he has since flamed out. but it doesn't erase last season. glenn's playmaking ability was also a nice addition.
he is the team's best deep threat.
this season keyshawn has proved himself over and over. when he went down last night i caught myself thinking "okay.... now we're in trouble." he is plenty good as a possession receiver. haven't had anything close to johnson since michael irvin.
darrien barnes is another story. i don't like him and don't believe he should be a starting FB for any NFL team. he is one of the worst lead blockers i've ever seen. and i've seen plenty - just on our team.
these guys may not be flashy... anderson, glenn, and keyshawn. but, when they got here - they were solid effective players. they were definitely a step up from what was there before them.

Yeah, Bert Berry would have been nice, but what would have really changed. We might have had a couple more wins, but he'll be on decline by the time we're challenging for a Super Bowl.

Well for starters we may have some semblance of a pass rush. It would also mean that we wouldn't be scurrying around this year looking for a RDE after we have to release Wiley for both poor play and a bad attitude.

BTW, it is more than likely that any current players on the team won't be here when we're challenging for a Super Bowl. We are a very bad team and the most fundamental thing that is holding us back has yet to change - we lack a FO with a vision of what type of football team they want and the football IQ required to make that vision a reality.

We will not be better until we hire a real GM who then hires his own coach - and it will not be Bill Parcells - it will be his own guy. I don't know if this change will take place in the next decade. We will probably have to wait until Jerry passes the team on to Stephen for this change to happen.
