He was cut.
After being cut he retired as he wasn't healthy enough to play. There has been talk of him getting healthy and trying to make a comeback.

He sits in on some local radio shows on occasion.

He was local ESPN station last week and said that he working out to try to come back if he can. He does lot of ESPN local station shows.
