Look at the talent that other teams can purge off of the roster BP and JJ have put so much effort into rebuilding:
UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS
QB Vinny Testaverde
RB Eddie George
DT Leo Carson
S Tony Dixon
DT DeVone Claybrooks
S Lynn Scott

Imagine what vINTy's demands are going to be,... especially after Joe Th said he 'stands so tall in the pocket' and ' can make all the throws'.

Boss Bill might eat up much our cap anteing up for Methuselah. Perhaps we could afford another kicker after the old man re-ups. Or maybe not.

:ralph:I'd waive each and every one of them. Thanks for playing, good luck.

I'd keep Carson and Scott, I can see roles for each of them...

I'd keep Carson as a rotation guy at DT. Can also probably even play a little 3-4 DE. Make someone beat him for the spot on the roster.
Scott is okay but I'd only offer him the vet min with no bonus and let him fight for a spot at the bottom of the roster. I would hope that he wouldn't make it.
The rest can go get lost.

Put me down for Vinny (given the choice between resigning a vet so fully familiar with the system or starting over with another FA that will cost more and be even more temptation to start in place of the young 'uns, that's my pick), Leo (if he's cheap), and Scott (it wouldn't seem like a Cowboys game if I didn't growl his name disgustedly through clenched teeth just once after some botched play).

Vinny can't be in the lineup. With a different head coach, i'd be ok with Vinny in a back-up role. With Parcells, you just know Vinny will find himself in the starting lineup.
Scott has played pretty good. He is what he is, a good backup safety/special teams player. Wouldn't bother me seeing him in camp.

I agree.
They could be nice depth and in Carsons case for possible rotation.
