Not sure if this has been brought up but with 2005 upon us, did we ever nominate/discuss posts of the year? Some possible categories...

Foot in the Mouth prediction that never came true?
Best "I Told You So" or prediction that did come true?
Best Poster
Worst Poster
etc...
There have been some posts over the past year that I've laughed for days afterwards and there have been some real good posts with statistical research that would be nice to give props to. Just my 2 cents.

Ty Law! You know the poster I'm talking about.
I think pretty much all of us that doubted Julius (self included) have egg on our face.

There have been some posts over the past year that I've laughed for days afterwards and there have been some real good posts with statistical research that would be nice to give props to. Just my 2 cents. The funniest post was JR.HELFRICK's protecting Texas Stadium parody of a certain windbag on our rival site.
The funniest sig line to me was Wimbo's Eddie George jersey with a decimal point between the 2 & 7. Understated and on the money.
I won't comment on a best poster, but for "worst poster" any troll from another team who just comes here to say something offensive, illicit some responses only to get banned and have every post he made wiped out of existence. Just doesn't make sense.
The game threads got the most responses by far.
Best "I told you so" prediction was MichaelWinicki's prediction of Eddie George's lack of success and the fan upheaval that would follow.
Foot in mouth prediction...who we were going to acquire at CB supposedly.

I never doubted Julius because I watched alot of his games on TV. However, I COMPLETELY doubted Dallas moving out of the first round and passing on Kevin Jones. Had Julius not been available I think we ALL would be pretty ticked.
Having said that, Julius still played beyond my expectations. His footwork and juking moves have definitely improved. He always ran very low to the ground and was hard to tackle, but his vision is better than I ever thought at ND. I'm beginning to think we should focus our efforts on rebuilding a MASSIVE O-line and getting a legitimate deep threat again to open up wicked lanes for Julius. We already have Witten. Some meat on the line and a burner at WR would open it all up.
As for the years best posts...
The decimal in the Eddie George shirt was a RIOT.
KittyMama's press conference recaps were the first thing I looked for since I have a hard time getting that info otherwise (Thanks KM!).
That's all I can think of.

Interesting dilema with the best post, let me see, my literary master pieces or kittymomma's press conference coverage, well quite the stymier, however, being the elite poster that I am and also an extremely gracious, good looking, and giving soul, I will go with Kittymomma.............
all kidding aside those have been life savers for me with my busy schedule and being able to keep up with those vicariously through her posts..........
funniest posts, anything to do with Hostile and Nors debating the virtues of the NFL............
worste posts, anything to do with Parcell's bashing, Vinnie bashing, and this anyone but Zimmer group.........
with that said in general I find, with only a few exceptions, our posting here is in a class all of its own..............

Thread with the most responses....Have to be the game threads.
Funniest post...Recently it would have to be the art parody...funnier because some did know the joke.
Foot in the Mouth prediction that never came true......Ty Law anyone?
Best "I Told You So" or prediction that did come true? Hmmm Nors has had a few, funny many forget though.
I would say also about how some say they are leaving the site, only to come back later....not all of them but most.

Worst Posts - GROZ group. Don't like him? fine. Not necessary to bring it up in completely unrelated threads.

Well, if Zimmer taught his players to look for the ball instead of playing so submissively then we wouldn't need a GROZ group. :D

Great comments everyone. I completely forgot about some of these posts. Hopefully, throughout 2005, we can nominate posts, threads, predictions, etc and have a CowboysZone Awards Ceremony Thread at the end of the football year.
I know one of the funniest things I was a part of this year were the chat rooms during the games - especially the Seahawks MNF comeback. How many of us were cursing the game, Zimmer, Parcells, Vinny and all of a sudden we're hootin and hollerin...
...The bashes this year took a more serious tone compared to 2003. People got seriously angry over Zimmer, Parcells and Vinny/Henson/Romo...In 2003, we had Hutchinson to laugh at, although the Newman/Suggs debate were mind-numbing.
As far as the biggest debates this year, I say the top three were: whether BP should be fired, is Roy Williams a let down or is it the system and who should start at QB. The Eddie George/Reshard Lee debate was quelled once Julius walked on water and parted the Chicago Bear Sea.
Any clear winners from those debates? Of course not.
2004 will be known for GROZ, the Nors Cup and Midswats Thread.
Thank every heavenly diety that Julius Jones has showed tremendous promise and Steven Jackson rode the pine most of the year. I can't even begin to think how inundated with those threads I'd be if that was to happen. Same thing with QC, Hutch and Derek Ross struggling with their new teams. The jury's still out with Antonio Bryant/Quincy Morgan.
Anyway, it was a great 2004 for this forum, although the actual Cowboys season was disappointing. Whether we were up or down, this place was always a great place to vent/laugh/complain/learn/share.

I forgot to add one category:
Worst nickname we tried to come up with for any player -
Mainly, we tried in vain several times to give nicknames to Julius Jones or Roy Williams...there were few decent ones, several bad ones and an overflow of absolutely horrible ones.
My vote goes to "Milk" Jones. Sorry Nors, but that's terrible. Haha.

Shouldn't this thread be moved to the "Threads of the Year" Zone? It's not really Cowboy related, and it's taking up space that could be better devoted to any scouts who may be fired now that Lacewell is gone :D ;)
