After missing potential game-winning field goals in back-to-back weeks against the Dallas Cowboys (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=dal) and New Orleans Saints (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=nor), Shaun Suisham (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=9361) is now out of work.

The Washington Redskins (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=was) released Suisham on Tuesday and signed former Florida State standout Graham Gano to replace him. Gano, who spent last summer in training camp with the Baltimore Ravens (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=bal) and this season in the UFL, beat out kickers such as Mike Nugent (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=8461), Nick Novak (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=9329) and Shane Andrus (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=10269) for the Redskins kicking job.
Suisham had been fairly reliable on other field goals, but he missed a 39-yarder that could have helped win the game against the Cowboys and a 23-yarder against the Saints on Sunday.
