After missing potential game-winning field goals in back-to-back weeks against the Dallas Cowboys (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=dal) and New Orleans Saints (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=nor), Shaun Suisham (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=9361) is now out of work.

The Washington Redskins (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=was) released Suisham on Tuesday and signed former Florida State standout Graham Gano to replace him. Gano, who spent last summer in training camp with the Baltimore Ravens (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=bal) and this season in the UFL, beat out kickers such as Mike Nugent (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=8461), Nick Novak (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=9329) and Shane Andrus (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=10269) for the Redskins kicking job.

Suisham had been fairly reliable on other field goals, but he missed a 39-yarder that could have helped win the game against the Cowboys and a 23-yarder against the Saints on Sunday.

Remember these names. This is what we would have to choose from if we dumped Folk like some people have suggested.

No big surprise there. He's missed a couple of big time kicks here lately that have cost them being able to put games away.

Keep Folk isn't working out so well. I don't want to dump the guy but theres no way in hell Buehler can be worse.

should we look at suisham or looked at Gano before skins signed him? Is wade waiting to long to look at a kicker?

Shaun Suisham-K- Redskins Dec. 8 - 12:30 pm et

Redskins released K Shaun Suisham.

Suisham couldn't survive the shanked 23-yarder that allowed the Saints to stay undefeated last week. He had been the Redskins kicker since Week 1 of the 2007 season and was perfect through 10 weeks of this season. But three missed field goals in the last three weeks and he's gone.

Graham Gano-K- Redskins Dec. 8 - 12:37 pm et

Redskins signed K Graham Gano.

Gano replaces Shaun Suisham, who was dumped after choking a 23-yard field goal against the Saints last week. Gano, who won the Lou Groza Award while at Florida State, was in Ravens camp this year but lost out to Steve Hauschka and landed in the UFL. You can do better for your fantasy kicker as Suisham ranked just 16th in field goal attempts this season.

Why in the hell would we want to sign a kicker who can't kick to replace one with the yips?

Do you think before you post or just get a thrill out of posting?

I would question why would we sign a kicker whom we have previously booted (pun intended) off the team for being inaccurate?

I've read that Beuhler says he hasn't worked on FG kicking at all since training camp...

He'd be perfect for the job then.

Wait, can he hold on FG attempts ?
