I thought these were mesmerizing. If any of you are interested, I was told the camera was a Nikon D3 that took them.

It's pretty brave to be taking pics while guys around you are firing guns and lobbing grenades.

Anytime I have been asked to describe what its like I say a great quote I once heard.

It consist of long periods of extreme boredom mixed sporadically by moments of sheer terror.

Anyone who has been in combat operations will agree.

Back in the 90's they used to yell out ..... "anyone who is not working ... get in your graves" to tell the guys to stop bull******* and get some sleep.

The first two pics look like a 3D engine for a game. Those are great pictures. Especially the live action of the helicopter crashing.

What makes you believe its crashing?

The rotors are all locked up, it can't fly if the blades aren't spinning.

I dunno, the fact that it's still slightly airborne yet side ways, the rotors are curved as if smashing into the groun and throwing up lots of dirt and dust, people are running like hell, and the next two pictures are more of the same pictures just further along in the crash.

Besides, the text says it's a military helicopter crashing! :laugh2:

And what is that guy doing laughing? And that weasel behind the tree making his buddy stand in front of it is comical.
