Alex Smith is killing the Cards with the hard count.

3rd time this drive AZ has jumped offsides.

Helluva play by Dre Bly right there, or Breaston has a huge gain on 3rd down.

Vintage
12-14-2009, 08:10 PM
That was a horrible blown whistle.

CLEARLY a fumble by Hightower. And Bly scored, but the whistle blew. 49ers had 7 points taken off the board.

49ers challenged and will get the ball, but the whistle blew the play dead.

It should have been a defensive TD.

And no more challenges for the 49ers either, and we are in the 1st quarter, lol.

How are the refs able to take away touchdowns like that??

Nevermind they explained.

Please, everyone stop using the phrase "Leader of Men". We're not making references to a Tolkien novel, so just saying "leader" should suffice.

I am using it sarcastically.

So....

I'm going to keep using it.

Now, the leader of men that is coaching the 49ers also has a hill. If we hire a leader of men who has a larger hill, I think its science and stuff that proves we will be Super Bowl winners.

I think Fitz caught it and is down by contact.... but dunno.

But the ref? WTH? He doesn't rule anything, then the 49er gets up and starts returning the ball..... then, he blows the whistle for an INC.

LOL....

But what a bizarre play.

I don't know. As a QB, you have to love a receiver like that who can make you look good when you throw the ball into tight double coverage. Fitz is a beast.

No idea.

Maybe because he plays for a leader of men? Don't think Whisenhunt has a hill tho.

I have "Willis" envy watching this game. A MLB that can drop deep and make plays on WR and close. Damn that kids is special.

I also wonder why our D generate so few turnovers???? why? coaching? players (we got players)??? Our safeties just don't make ANY (well, I think we got ONE) INTs.

If the 49ers can somehow beat Philly next week, they finish with STL and DET and can sneak into the playoffs.

Yes. I would love to hear from all of those blowhards on the board that gave Mike Singletary the business earlier this year. Your opinions now? He appears to be coming along nicely to me and I still think he would have been a perfect fit in Big D.

I'm not saying he's going to win this game but he surely had his team focused and executing...

they are a horrible matchup for the niners.

Last year they played the eagles pretty well for a while at home. then the eagles broke their back with a huge play to westbrook.

I cant imagine it is even close honestly.

I'm just not very impressed with the Eagles. If McNabb has an off night, which happens not infrequently, they could lose to SF.

Hmmm...in another thead today Warner was one of the QBs that I, as well as everyone else, was told was playing well beyond what Romo is playing.

Along with tonights wonderful performance he's now fallen even further behind Romo.

Alex Smith has really had some issues with his accuracy

they waited for the first hill slip up just so they could throw him in their. wouldnt have happended if he wasnt a number 1 pick

they finally got back to what they do best and thats run the ball. they got a little to pass happy. you have to have balance

they lost a lot of close games this yr. almost beat the vikings.

wouldnt shock me if they beat philly. their definitely capable

His team started off 3-1 and are now 5-7. That's not focus and execution that's losing a lot lately and in some cases to bad football teams. You can have Singletary he wouldn't be any better here.

The Niners have forced 7 turnovers tonight alone. How many have we forced all year? I did notice that San Fran does not just wait for them to fall into their lap like Wade does, they go out and take the ball away with aggressive defensive play. I'm really starting to hate our soft team.

I hope and think philly will beat sf. SF always plays their best against arizona.

then i am hoping philly will take a bump to denver who will be fighting for their lives with a very motivated brian dawkins and a capable passing game to beat philly.

then the gloves come off in dallas.

It is.
I doubt we win but you never know.

I also doubt Philly loses to San Fran, meaning we would have to win out and hope Philly loses to Denver to win the division.

Of course if we go 2-1 and SF beats Philly we win the division provided one of the wins is vs Philly.

I'm torn.
