Gnats 9, Carolina 41.
That, folks, is the worst home loss to close a stadium in the history of the NFL. :D
It makes that loss to Bmore last year to close Texas Stadium burn a little less today.

I'm starting to understand why your dog always looks so sad.

Wonder what the over/under was for how often Brandon Jacobs prayed for us to lose tonight?
The poor guy. That's gotta be a very deep wound to deal with over the next eight months. :(
Anyone have any salt..?

I have some sea salt but it's too good for him. I think turpentine will suffice.

The 2009 Giants are like the 2008 Cowboys. The Giants are a very good team with no heart. I know the Panthers have been playing well lately, but the Giants absolutely laid an egg in their final game in their stadium in a game they had to win.

didn't that big mouth say he would retire if he didn't average 4.0 per carry? He went in under and had a whopping 1 yard on 6 carries today so he likely won't get to 4.0 this year.

I wonder if Matt Moore signed the locker room.
"41-9" Final Loss in Old Stadium--Matt Moore.

I'm just curious why you have to use the asteriks for that word in your sig? Is it against the rules or something?

There is a filter for that word on the site I believe. I didn't put those there.

The AFC playoff picture kills me as well. I wonder what the Jags need to make the playoffs - must be one of those full moon, emergence of the prince of darkness type of deals. :lmao2:

LOL. That would be sweet justice. Actually, just knowing they now own that obscure record is enough to warm my belly for many many months.

Actually Bleu Star, the Cowboys gave the Giants their worst home loss.......a 35-0 beat down. Does anyone remember Emmitt going 65 and waving bye bye to the Giants D as he scored a TD on the first play from scrimmage?
Also, if you listened to the Aikman and Buck, they were even discussing this. Buck stated that this could be the biggest home loss in Giants history, second right now only to the 35-0 game.....
41 - 9 = 32
35 - 0 = 35
Dallas beat them by more, they shut them out, and did so in prime time.....
Dallas is officially the worst home loss in Giants history, since they entered the Meadowlands.

The Jags need to win and have five other specific teams lose. Miami needs to win and have four other specific teams lose.

Does the OP remember the Cowboys last game in Texas Stadium? How does that factor into the original thought?

We lost to B'more 24-33 in our last game at Texas Stadium.
The Gnats lost 9-41 in their last game to close their house.
By virtue of numbers alone, the Gnats now own the NFL record for worst loss to close a home stadium. We weren't even close. ;)
