Definitely a concussion. Was pure helmet to helmet. He was moving his legs and saw him twittle his finger a bit too.

Yah, when the players motion for the staff that fast, you have to wonder what they saw.

Has to be the most vicious hit I have seen in a long time.

Is he on the Dolphins?

Yes. Ike Taylor laid him out then showed pure class by talking to him as he was leaving on the stretcher.

Way to go Ike.

Henne left at halftime with an eye injury and White replaced him. He ran on a 3 and 6 and was clearly hit helmet to helmet with no flag. Surprise?

Looked like White was tripped and falling forward while going out of bounds. He wasn't able to brace for impact. Ugly hit.

Hope he's ok!

He was moving his hands so that's a great sign.

It's not a penalty to hit a runner helmet-to-helmet. I'm watching the Giants game, so maybe he wasn't running. If he was in the pocket then it should have been a penalty, but if he took off running it was legal.

helmet to helmet is always considered a penalty regardless of whether its called.

More than likely, Ike Taylor will be getting a Fed ex package in his locker this week.

The hit was right on the sidelines...nothing illegal about it. Seen that same thing happen plenty of times, but usually with a RB who is used to that situation whoo knows HOW to brace themselves for the impact.

the dude is fine....anybody ever watch UFC? Guys on there get knocked out all the time and are up and walking around within a couple of minutes....he's OK....probably just a concussion is the extent of it.

RB's are hit in the helmet just about everytime they get hit....if you saw the play, there was nothing out of the ordinary about it.

Bottom line was that he was a RB on that play waaay out of the pocket.

I'm pretty sure it's not, though I may be wrong. Something like that even happened during a Cowboys game when Aikman was announcing. He said the same thing as you, and I'm pretty sure he was corrected later on.

If he was hit with the crown of the helmet...or the helmets collided, that's helmet to helmet and it's a violation. That's the basis of the rule, not about whether it was an extraordinary play or not.

From NFL.COM

A tackler using his helmet to butt, spear, or ram an opponent.
Any player who uses the top of his helmet unnecessarily.

If either of those things occurred, then he'll probably get fined.

If it looked like when Crayton got hit last week, then Taylor will probably get fined.

Seeing the video, it was definitely helmet-to-helmet, but it didn't look intentional. It looked like he got tripped up and Ike Taylor was going low and the two collided that way.

Obviously, he wasn't flagged, but a fine is still iffy.

Helmet to helmet he was defenseless. He was running with the ball. The rule was set up for receivers not runningbacks. Glad he is ok, but that's football.

Vicious hit but clean, it was helmet to helmet but on the sides, both players were falling with momentum turning them parallel side by side at contact.

that hit wasnt all that impression, it was just helmet to helmet and hit white in the knockout spot.

Campbell looks at that hit and scoffs....after the way he has gotten shallacked over the last month, especially by the Giants and Cowboys.

Vicious hit but I really don't believe Taylor was intentionally trying to hit him with a helmet to helmet it.

I really hope there are no long lasting problems for White from that hit. That's just scary when a player goes down like that and doesn't move.
