LOL!! I found a team that hates us more than the skins/eagles

I've been visiting the Saints board ever since before our season changing prime time matchup. I've always kind of been neutral towards the Saints save for Peyton sticking it to us and showing off in '06. I've always admired brees and their team in general. Just a harmless team that's never won anything. I wasn't even mad at their 13-0 start.. buuuuuuuuuuut good lord do I hate these guys now especially their fans. Their fans are about as obnoxious and cocky as they come.

Ever since that matchup there have been countless posts about the boys..EVERY DAY/EVERY WEEK how they would love a re-match.. how much they hate us.. how we would meltdown..execuses out the *** on why they lost.. why they're the best team... they get no respect... how they don't respect/fear us... etc so on...

I know we have Minnesota next week but check out their site if you get a chance.. very entertaining stuff. What took the cake was their Boys/iggles game thread currently on page 2. If you thought extremeskins was nuts... these guys are ridiculous. They cried and whined throughout the entire thread. Good stuff. :starspin

95% of the game thread was a deep discussion of how not only our playoff game, but how professional sports is rigged. I know you either love us or hate us but I had no idea of how much hate that fan base harbors towards us. It's amazing.

Lemme tell you something about Nawlins Taints fans. They are as bandwagon as they come, and believe me I've got some family down that way. They tell me that they only come out when they win. Just like the Giants fans from 2007, and "Steelers" fans over the years. They wanna be America's Team so bad, and yet they are becoming what we were a few years ago. Failing slowly, and surely they arent going to win either.

Oh yeah Saint's Report always have threads about us and they aren't good ones. It is nothing new. They really hate us and I don't understand it. We rarely play them for anything other than a meaningless preseason game or a regular season game. I don't believe we played them in the postseason ever. You would think they would focus more of their hate towards teams in their own division. But no, they discuss the Cowboys more than those teams combined. It makes me laugh.

It does. My not-a-girlfriend is a HUGE Saints fan. She despises Tony and the team in general. She was needling me a bit after the second Giants game, which is never a good idea, and I told her "you know why nobody hates the Saints like people hate the Cowboys?"

She runs on a 3 minute rant about America's Team, Jerry Jones, Terrell, Pacman, Tony dating Jessica, et al.

I told her no, because nobody cares about the Saints enough to hate them. They're like the nice neighbors kid who got in a bad car crash and went from a straight A student to borderline mentally handicapped. If anything, you just feel bad for them.

She didn't like that one little bit.

Absolutely. When you win, you're resented for it. We had some Saint's fans come to this board, and if I recall correctly, they were pretty classy. We've got guys here who will talk trash at the slightest provocation. We can find those fans anywhere, be it New Orleans or anywhere else.

They may be a just a tad worried about our guys, but they should focus on Arizona right now and we should focus on Minnesota.

Unfortunately they're all going to have to hate us from the comfort of their own livingrooms cause the Cards are going to beat them, officially put an end to their season, and then have to come to Dallas for the NFC Championship game after we beat the Vikings on Sunday.

They'll have all offseason to hate us then and hate the fact that we started the roll toward 4 straight losses to end their season.

Another team with extreme hate for us is the Texans... WOW! I wanted to get an AFC team to root for as well (very secondarily of course). After visiting their forums I quickly figured out that I could not stomach all of the anti-Cowboys rhetoric. They have little brother syndrome BAD.

I live near New Orleans, and yes, they are a bunch of bandwagon fans. I see people at work showing up with Saints shirts on, yet the only starters they can name are Reggie Bush and Drew Brees. You won't believe the flack I got heading up to our December 19th game against them. It was unbearable for me. However, we all know how that ended, and who got the last laugh, at least for now.

What that really means is that fans here are bandwagon fans. The Cowboys had a huge following here until the late 80's, when the Saints first started fielding a decent team, and Tom Landry was fired in what fans here call "a classless manner." Remember, "Landry" is a Louisiana name. One of the most common last names in the state. People here loved the man.

However, as the Saints start to suck, and the Cowboys start winning, you see people pulling out their 10 year old Cowboys gear from the closet, replacing their Saints gear with it.

I agree with this take. At least the Eagles fans are passionate, and don't hide their love for their team, win or lose.

The argument I got leading up to the Saints game was, "Y'all are only 8-5 and we're 13-0, so we know we're better and we're going to win!"

That's why they play the game.
