Itouch Ipod

So ok, I just picked up a brand new Itouch "Ipod. Yes basically the Iphone without the numbers, and other interesting gadgets. So anyway I'm trying to upload my music from my computer onto my Itouch. Anyway it keeps telling Me I need to blow my credit card on ITunes instead. Any help with the music part would be greatly appreciated.

Where does it ask for a credit card? I just plug mine in, open itunes, create a playlist and drag mp3s off my computer to the playlist. Done.

It usually asks for a Credit Card number to memorize your info. Really weird on my computer.
