I knew Walker was a fitness freak but holy , he makes 'the mighty Terrell Owens' look like a slouch physically, even at 48. I wouldn't fight him (even if I was still 21).

just so you guys know how good your physique is does not determine if you're a good fighter or not. the pic below is who most mma fans consider the baddest man on the planet Fedor Emelianenko. he doesn't look like anything special either but he would beat the crap out of anybody you know or can think of.

Fedor is the exception. Being physically fit makes a huge difference in MMA. I also think Brock Lesnar could beat Fedor and not because he is a more technically sound fighter but because of his superior strenth. Brock is not a better technician than Mir but he manhandled due to his massive strength advantage.

Brock is new to the game. I don't think Brock would stand a chance vs. Fedor. Fedor is in his own category - imo.

Myth No. 2
Fedor is afraid of the UFC.
Fact
UFC is afraid of Fedor.
Proof
UFC president Dana White (http://bleacherreport.com/dana-white) went on the record to confirm that Fedor's management offered the UFC to have Fedor fight there on several occasions. Dana turned it down, according to himself. If we use our heads a little bit here, we can clearly see that Dana White is not going to let his best fighter get beat up, and then let Fedor just leave the UFC...That would be a marketing disaster.
The ONLY way UFC will sign Fedor is if they can have him for at least 4 fights. And if he wins them all, he MUST re-sign again, and again, and again... He can NEVER leave undefeated unless he retires (Official clause in the UFC proposed agreement, which Fedor rejected) Also, if Fedor loses one fight UFC has the right to tear up the contract! (UFC standard offer is two lost fights, not one). This is unacceptable.
Think of it this way: if UFC is NOT afraid of Fedor, than why not let him fight Randy on a 1-time deal which Fedor has been asking for for years? (Notice! This would be in a cage, under UFC rules)
(Hint: because Dana White (UFC president) knows Fedor will most likely win and leave, ruining UFC's image)

Josh Barnett is on video turning down the Fedor fight. You can view it on YouTube. Real Deal press conference (after the fights) Josh says he is beat up and tired to fight Fedor next, yet he does fight Nog (No. 2 in the world) instead...So, I guess he wasn't THAT tired.
Randy Couture tells us in his own press conference (YouTube) that he was offered $3 million to fight Fedor in Bodog, but chose instead to take $300k (10 times less money) to re-sign with UFC to fight Tim Sylvia.
Werdum stated on the front page of Pride website: "I'm not ready for the likes of Fedor."
Mirko Cro Cop stated, on his own website after the 2006 GP: "I will not take the Fedor fight now, due to my foot injury." (Notice that Cro Cop had no problem fighting lesser opponents WITH his foot injury, nor did Cro Cop have a problem fighting Fedor when Fedor's hand was broken...)

Couture? That's your ammo? He could barely beat Vera and got his *** whooped by Noguiera and Lesnar. He's the Evander Holyfield of MMA ATM. That's like saying Favre is the best QB in the NFL right now :)
I won't deny Fedor is one of the best out there. But you can't deny that his fights in the U.S have all been mickey mouse opponents. So to say he's undoubtedly the best is absurd when he's not even fighting the best right now. Anyways. Good luck to him. I wonder what soon-to-fold company he'll join next. This guy beat the best of the best in their prime, how is he not #1 of all time?

Okay while there is some thruth to what your saying, this is a fact as well. Just these past few months Danna White offered Fedor more money than any other fighter alive to fight in the UFC and he gave in to the Sambo stipulations. Fedor and his manager managed to screw it up by asking for co-promotion which was not going to happen for 1 fighter even if he is most likely the best heavy. I think the reason Dana offered that much money is because there are alot of good quality heavies in the UFC right now and one of them was bound to put a L on the mighty Fedor. Fedor is alot like Mayweather in that he is living on his past greatness and hasn't fought still competition in years. Pride was awhile back and since then he has not fought anyone that I consider a top heavy.
As for those saying that Brock doesn't stand a chance, he does. I am not saying that he would definitely win. but he would be the best fighter Fedor has ever faced. Brock Lesnar right now would tear into any of Fedor's past opponents.

Whoever is complaining about Fedor not signing the contract, you do realize that the stipulations basically say that if Fedor wins he's tied down to the UFC, but if he loses one fight he's gone right? Not very fair if you ask me. Basically, they want him to come in, headline their PPV against Lesnar, hope Lesnar wins it, and then get rid of Fedor just so Dana can "expose him as a fraud." If I'm Fedor, I wouldn't sign that contract, regardless on how good he is. Anybody can beat anybody on a given day.

not to mention one other fact. Fedor is keeping competition alive regarding American mma promotions. If Fedor signs with UFC than Strikeforce is dead and the UFC becomes an mma monopoly. I used to be mad at Fedor for not signing with the UFC until I learned how outrageous each sides stipulations were.
If any of you were wrestling fans in the mid to late 90s when wrestling was at it's highest point ever with WWF,WCW and ECW you can understand.. the competition drove each company to improve and keep on getting better. everybody thought when the UFC purchased Pride FC that we'd finally all see these dream matchups we'd hoped for. we got a couple of those but that's about it. long story short mma as a whole has been on a decline ever since the UFC started buying out all it's competition.
In the end what Fedor is doing is good for the sport of mixed martial-arts rather than the sport of "ultimate fighting".

Against a can of a fighter, so lets keep it in perspective.
Ground game was actually good for him, but his standup needs a ton of work. Actually surprising for me to say that about Herschel as you would think it would be the other way around.
Unfortunately he is so tight, especially in the hips. Little movement and absolutely no bounce for his standup. If he had fought someone with even a hint of a striking game Herschel would likely be taking a nap in the 1st round.
