heard it on 1490 this morning didnt see it posted. shipleys pro day is march 31st where he will look to undo the damage he has done to his draft stock by running when he wasnt 100 percent.

ill put my crow that i was going to eat in the freezer till the 31st and i hope to be serving it to all of you that talked so much **** in the other thread(rampage and bob im talking to you).

LOL do you actually believe this? come on man. This is something that his agent told him to say so he could save the embarrassment with that brutal 40 time. Lots of agents tell there players to say that after posting disappointing times/results. If that was the case why were his cone drills and shuttle above average? come on man. This is so BS lmao.

There might be something to this considering he kept falling down on cuts. I'm not holding my breath though.

I know he has posted better times than he did at the combines. As for him being hurt I can't say one way or the other if he says he is I have no reason to doubt it. Bottom line he like others will continue to work out for teams during pro days so he will get a chance to prove it

ok but do you think if he ran a 4.37 he'd say he had a tweaked hammy then?

Call me dirty, but I hope he tanks his pro day too and Dallas can snag him with a later pick.

If he had ran a 4.37 with a bad hammy he would be a top 5 pick and who would care if he had a bad hammy. When you run a time slower than what you have shown before then the question of why comes into play a bit more. Either way he will get his chance at pro days to improve it.

if he had tweaked his hammy AND run a 4.37 i cant see why you wouldn't tell people you posted that time at less than 100 percent lol.

we get it dude you don't believe him. great. thats your prerogative, now go somewhere else with it.

so what is funny? a guy running a 4.37 with a bad hammy or the fact that if a guy showed that type of speed along with his production on the feild that player would be considered a top draft choice? Fact is Shipley has been looked at as a 2nd to 3rd rd pick

thats my prerogative? LOL. Open up your eyes, don't be so gullable, just because he's your pet cat. Do you think its by chance that he says he has a pulled hammy the day after? why not tell people the day before :laugh2: Just eat your 'crow' right now.

what was very funny is the fact that you think he'd go top 5 if he ran a 4.37 with a bad hammy. LOL. And a top draft choice? That is also very funny, because he'd never be considered a top draft choice considering he'll never be a #1 WO in the NFL. He could have all the production in the world, he's a slot receiver.

I can understand the skepticism. If he tweaked it prior to any event, then he shouldn't have competed or continued competing.

If he had ran a 4.37 as was asked then yes he would be looked at as a top pick guys running 437 and producing would not be playing slot to begin with. the guy killed Alabama with a backup QB and was consistent all year despite the fact Texas had no running game and not allot of production from the other WR. Teams knew to so Texas you had to stop Shipley and they couldn't so take you Texas hate and stuff it.

HAHAHAHAH :laugh2:

Your a joke man. So you honestly think if he ran a 4.37 he'd go top 5? Over Dez Bryant and WR of that caliber. You have absolutely no idea as to what you're talking about. Please stop. He could run a 4.1, hes NOT GOING TOP 5. And don't you think if he had a pulled hamstring it would have been reported? WHY WOULD HE RUN WITH A PULLED HAMSTRING AND RUN THE RISK OF RUNNING A HORRIBLE TIME? Why were his other drills decent then? you need to **** man cause you have no idea what you're saying. And he will NEVER play WO despite what you think. FIO man. I actually am a big fan of Texas, just hate uneducated people like you who think they know everything but don't have a clue as to what there saying. And BTW teams knew they had to stop mccluster, why didnt they stop him, they knew they had to stop Golden Tate why didnt they stop him? they knew they had to stop Damian Williams, why didn't they stop him? They knew they had to stop Brandon Laffel, why couldnt they stop him. The list goes on.

If he ran a 4.37 he would not be playing the slot to begin with, you don't seem to get that though your thick head. Fact is at Texas he has been timed at 4.4/4.5 He is not a 1st rd pick chances are he will go 2nd to 3rd round. As for him being injured you don't know that one way or the other he will get a chance to show otherwise

yeah? are you saying its not???

not my pet, just tired of the critism he gets for being a white guy playing receiver.

crabtree- year rec. yards ypc lng TD
2008 97 1165 12.0 82 19
bryant-2008 87 1480 17.0 80 19
clavin johnson-2006 76 1202 15.8 66 15
shipley-2008 89 1060 11.9 68 11
2009 116 1485 12.8 88 13

comparable stats to all those guys and showed up in big games unlike dez. so yeah 4.37 with a bad hammy would make up for his lack of size and make him a top pick.

OMG, HE DOESNT RUN A 4.37 FOR **** SAKES. NEVER WILL. EVEN IF HE DID IT WOULD NOT MAKE HIM A TOP PICK. Freddie Barnes broke all NCAA records, why isn't he a top pick? I can say the same about many others. He will be a slot receiver in the NFL bottom line.

never said he did you were the one that asked 'what if he ran this time with a bad hammy'. i agree he is and will be a slot receiver in the nfl but your the one saying that he wouldnt be a top pick with his production+ DHB speed(cause thats what your looking at him running if he post a 4.37 with a bad leg)

just sayin.

so let me ask you something, does this(Jordan Shipley/Texas; struggled running routes, showing no burst in his game, and looked slow in drills) sound like the shipley you have seen play? or a guy that pretty much out preformed dez, gilyard, and damian williams at the mercedes challenge?

I think I made it clear yesterday i'm no longer a scout, but me the reason SMU is so bad? I was actually the reason Emmanuel Sanders came to SMU and i'd say 8-5 with 3 OT losses might I add aint to shabby there pops. If you have no idea what you're talking about, don't post, because your really not offending anybody. Didn't you try to do the same thing yesterday? BTW if your son portrays any of the traits you portray, SMU won't be knocking on his door, trust me brother. And you'd knock me out? OH boy I'm really really intimidated right now, please stop.
