Asking Price for Boldin is a 3rd rounder

I know someone posted something about this the other day. I am not certain if anyone believed him or not but here is the story.

According to NFL Network's Mike Lombardi, the Cardinals' asking price for Anquan Boldin is a third-round pick.
While Boldin is going on 30 and would likely require a pricey multi-year commitment, Arizona's demands appear to be plenty reasonable. Fellow trade candidate Brandon Marshall is roughly four years younger, but presents far more knucklehead factor, would ask for more money, and costs a first-round pick. I figured that... Boldin is injury prone but productive when on the field. A third round pick sounds right to me.

Good asking price for him, but his injury history as well as wanting any team to pony up cash is a cause for concern.

I thought he was worth a second rounder but his age and injuries probably do down grade that to a three.

With all the talk about Otree I think we will at best draft a WR after day two. I still say they will consider trading down for Allen in the top of the second and pick up an extra pick say a third. If no partner to trade then they take an OL in the first and go with M Hamlin as the future safety.

Personally I'd go with Allen and still be looking to either get M Hamlin in the game the next year or two or find another safety in the next draft or thru FA. We are weak at safety. That area needs to improve for us to be dominating on D. JMO.

I'll tell you what if it's only going to take a 3rd to get Boldin the line to get this guy is going to be very long.

I am not suggesting we trade a 3rd for Boldin. However, he is the exact type of receiver we need. A possession type of WR who can make the ugly, tough catches.

Hell I'd do it. I was wanting to get Jacoby Ford in the third or fourth but Boldin's the better receiver for sure.

He's good but way too injury prone. The guy averages 2.5 games missed a year which doesnt really seem much but he NEVER plays at 100% health and could possibly hurt the Cardinals when he does that, especially since Breaston is the #3.

bolden is good but i do want to compare him to crayton.

both have a few good games a season that make you look.

I agree DC. I think those are all very likely landing places for him. Especially the Dolphins or the Panthers. He'd be a really great fit for both those teams.

Denver would make a lot of sense too, especially after they move Marshall.

actually in reality the asking price for Boldin is higher. yes, you give a 3rd rouner to AZ, but boldin wants bukoo bucks, in the 8-10 mill a year range and frankly at his age and injury history he is not worth it.

It's the Madden/Fantasy Football syndrome. They see a big name and want to add him to the team. Who cares what it costs.
