Yes, that's the worst title ever written on CZ and I proud to own it, lol.

Report: Tebow below average on test
ESPN.com news services
While former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2010&id=24889) wowed evaluators with his on-field performance at the NFL combine last month, he scored a 22 out of 50 on the Wonderlic test, the Palm Beach Post reported, citing an NFL source.
The 12-minute test measures an individual's learning and problem-solving abilities.
According to the Post, the average Wonderlic score for an NFL quarterback is 24. The newspaper also reported that the quarterback prospects in Mel Kiper Jr.'s latest rankings on ESPN.com -- Sam Bradford (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2010&id=25545) of Oklahoma (36), Colt McCoy (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2010&id=25548) of Texas (25) and Jimmy Clausen (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2010&id=25716) of Notre Dame (23) -- scored higher than Tebow.
To put those scores in perspective, the Post compared Wonderlic numbers of run-of-the-mill NFL quarterbacks such as Alex Smith (40) and Matt Leinart (35) to those of Pro Football Hall of Famers Dan Marino and Jim Kelly (both 15) and an established star such as Donovan McNabb (14) of the Philadelphia Eagles (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=phi).
Tebow is a Heisman Trophy winner who won two national championships at Florida. According to the newspaper, he graduated with a 3.66 GPA majoring in family, youth and community services.
Grades and Wonderlic scores likely won't determine how his NFL future will unfold. In an attempt to better adapt to the pro game, Tebow is changing the way he holds a football, shifting it from his waist to his shoulder. He intends to show off his refined style on his pro day for scouts at the University of Florida on Wednesday.
"There are things that I can get a lot better at -- my fundamentals," Tebow said in February. "I've never been asked to shorten or quicken my release and not have a loop in it. The changes I'm making have gone very well and it's becoming more and more natural to me."
------------------------------
He could have scored a 50. I don't think he's more than an average QB in the NFL.
Thats the worst title in the history of the internet. Historians, tens of thousands of years from now, will look back at that and cringe. You make me sick.

Props for admitting the god awful title lol.
Tebow's QB stock just took another nose dive. I think it will be near impossible for any team to play him as even a backup QB and develop him.
He better hope he falls into the right scenario, or can we say Eric Crouch?

Gosh, I'm suprised you stayed away from the usual Teblows or Teslow. That takes talent.

If all you are looking at is the Wonderlic score then it is overrated. It alone would be a terrible way to evaluate a player. When you include it with all the other elements in evaluating a player then it can be useful.
If you had two QBs and they were nearly identical in every significant category except for their respective Wonderlic scores then that may be the difference between which one you choose.
Peyton Manning's 28 is still higher than the average of 24 for NFL QBs.

Boy, another person who doesn't understand how a team would use that....
you use it in conjunction with other pieces. E.g., did he play in a complex offense? How did he interview? Did he perform well in school, and if so did he go to a strong academic school and/or have a major that required half a brain?

Hate to say it but Abe's right. :D
BTW: Delivering babies behind the local Taco Hut doesn't count as complicated or very smart.

I was reading a bit about the test on Wikipedia, I know, I know there info isn't always acurate. However what it did say was that the average score across the board for everyday people was a 24. A score of 10 meant that you were literate. By that definition Tim Tebow < a dummy. BTW OT's score the highest on average with halfbacks at the bottom.

All this negative press Tebow is getting makes me want us to draft him.

instead of asking stupid math questions.........when testing the QBs, show them 10-15 defensive scenarios....have them call the blitz package, the coverage, the hot reads, etc.....IMO, if a QB can give you this info and score at least 50% prior to ever playing a down in the NFL, I think he shows the mental capacity to play the position in the League.

I'm sure he'll make a great TE in the CFL one day. Probably break all sorts of records there.

.
That pretty much sums it up.
Also..here's some trivia that I find very interesting:
Terry Bradshaw had one of the all-time low scores. Yet Bradshaw called his own plays and called all of Super Bowl XIV from the line of scrimmage. It is one of the great intellectual achievements in Super Bowl history.
BTW, this is not an endorsement of Tebow...just some trivia.
