Some signs point to them being here at the dawn of civilization

But in the Youtube era I cant believe anything that comes out now.

Like the late great Carl Sagan said, "If it is just us... it would be an awful waste of space."

Do I believe we've been visited? I'm not so sure. But I do believe there's other life out there, and I think we're probably closer to eachother in technological development than them being lightyears ahead of us.

do you believe in aliens? Living in Texas I have no doubt, they cross that border daily

Not sure if I believe or not. Seems foolish to think we are alone on the planet but at the same time I cant help but wonder why only crazy people seem to see them.

Like the late great Carl Sagan said, "If it is just us... it would be an awful waste of space."

I like that saying too, but I will say this. Even if there is a Googolplex of aliens out there, there is still a hell of a lot of wasted space. :laugh2:

Maybe their only crazy cause you haven't seen them to confirm they aren't crazy? :laugh2:

Yes there is life elsewhere. Have they visited? I wouldn't be surprised if Earth is mentioned in a few alien texts.

I'm sure after checking us out they don't want to come back. :lmao:

I will say this, I believe without question life exists somewhere other than on the Earth. Maybe it only microbes of some sort, but they do exist. (they very well could be full blown humanoid creatures) The sheer volume of space and it's mass, and all the suns, planets, and galaxies that exist makes the odds so incredibly overwhelming, it would be hard to mathematically dispute it.

Think about it. Earth's mass is infinitesimal compared to the rest of the universe. To say life didn't exist outside of the Earth, would be saying the only mass in the entire universe that contains a combination of carbon, water and amino acids is the Earth.

We already know Comets contain all three! They are like a syringe of life. Injecting any object they hit with the seeds of life!

FYI

The only entry about Earth in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy used to be "Harmless", but Ford Prefect managed to change it a little to "Mostly Harmless".

We are not the only life form out there. I laugh at people who think we are.

No they have not visited us. I laugh even harder at people who think they have.

I am 99% sure there is life out there somewhere else.

However, I don't think they have ever been here and I don't think we will spot anyone else in my lifetime. Our technology is still far too primitive to scope out the cosmos sufficiently to find that 1 in a trillion planet that can sustain life and then prove that life exists there.

It is unclear to me whether any lifeforms would be more intelligent than us or not - depends on who is finding who I suppose. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if there was a natural limit to intelligence in the universe where once a society gets smart enough they cause their own extinction in one way or another.

I remember it. But film adaptations are never as good as the books.

There are an estimated 700 billion stars in this Galaxy alone. we have been able to so far find that many of those stars have planets- as a matter of fact so far just about all suns found have shown to have planets. Many of those stars and systems are millions if not billions of years older. So A) thinking that we are unique is the absolute height of arrogance B) being much older there is more then likely the probability that they are much more advanced then we are. They might have even evolved past the point of needing physical bodies.

Only the arrogant and stupid say that faster then light travel is not possible. That is like cavemen saying that flying is impossible.

so its almost certain that advanced life forms exist. It is virtually certain that life forms with advanced technology exist. Now its also unlikely they have bothered to visit here since why should they- we are out in the boondocks of the galaxy.

And yet, no one knows for sure, it's all speculation with no proof.

Just healthy imagination.
