What are your favorites?

Fruit...I love apples. My favorite apple is called a Pacific Rose. They are a little pricey but man are they great if you can find a store that sells them. Here in Tucson Safeway does.

Vegetable...green chilis. They just make everything better. Mexican food, hamburgers, salads, you name it. Green chili can probably make it better. The only exceptions would be deserts or other foods you just wouldn't add chili to.

Isn't chili part of the meat family? Because of the beans?

edit: I looked it up

online, and beans are a part of the meat group.

Just about all of them.
But if I had to go without all but one, I guess I'd pick apples and spinach (closely followed by asparagus) as favorites.

Apples can be the best or the worst, depending on what kind you buy, and whether or not they're fresh. Nothing worse than a mushy apple.

Gala apples are my favorite. I eat one pretty much every morning. I also love oranges.

Vegetables .... hmmmm. Hard to name one. I eat green chile several times a week ... we put it on nearly everything down here. I also love black-eyed peas, green beans, sweet peas.

I know! I was amazed by that, too. My husband thought I was a little mental about discovering something that small.

As for favorites, I love a golden delicious apple--but only while it's still green, tart and crunchy. Once it turns yellow, forget it.

Can't stand anything mango/papaya/tropical fruit--it all tastes rotten/spoiled to me. And I HATE it when they sneak that junk into iced tea in restaurants without warning like that's what I ordered. Blech.
