Two votes wins?

54 White
22 Bullet
41 Waters
19 Rentzel...take a look at the guys numbers for those four years...too bad, well ya know...
33 Dorsett... Duane coulda been it IF Jimmy Brown didn't get his ear...I still think, to this day, that Brown intentionally upended the kid's career because of all the comparisons people made between Thomas and Brown
17 Now that's funny.
21 Julius...Sanders was never a Cowboy
88 OOOOOH now that's a tough one....uh, Jackie Harris. :) Uh...geeez...I guess Irvin.
80 Hill...no contest.
32 Walter Garrison
52 Dave Edwards...unsung but he was a rock.

What a great post.....................So many great players having the same number...........with the exception #17............#21 JJ I feel in time will reach that level of expectation.
#22 two all time greats........Emmitt will be in the HOF...Bullet I certainly hope somehow he makes it in.
#33 Thomas as a good RB but had his quirks......Tony D a league of his own.
#88....Two great receivers. Both should be in the HOF
#54 Two great players.......What can you say that hasn't already been said about these two players.
#19 Lance Allworth....Key.........Lance more of a speed WR.....great routes and hands. I like keys toughness..........the jury is still out.
#80
Hill or Harper Hill was one of my favorite WRs..........Harper made some bigggggggg catches for us. Hill was the better of the two.
#41
Waters or Newman Waters a big time player along with Harris...can't think of one without the oter. I hope Newman lives up to expectations.
#34
Green or Walker.... Cornell Green take away Deion probably the best CB in our history. Walker good RB........What a shame he did not have much of a team around him.
#32
Garrison or Thurman How could you not like Walt.......Tough hard nose football player the same for Thurman

Man we have been bleesed with 44 years of great players... I wish some of the younger fans could have witnessed what we were all lucky enough to see...
There was NOTHING like seeing that fedora roam the sidelines in the 70's... and we always knew there was a chance to win the game when Pearson and Staubach were in the game...
We always knew that Hill, Thomas or Dorsett could bust it open at any time... and we knew that Preston Pearson was money...
We all knew that Pearson, Allworth, Hill or Dupree would make the clutch catch...
We knew that going over the middle was hazardous to your health compliments of Harris and Waters...
We knew Harvey and Too Tall would pressure the QB...
We knew that you you never try to run on Cole, Andrie and Lilly...
We knew Lewis, Jordan, Henderson, White, Howlie or Bruenig would seriously bust you up if you managed to get past the DL...
It was always a quiet confidence... an heir of rightful passage... it's what made this the greatest franchise in sports...
Good times!

The Manster, of course...
#22:
Bullet or Emmitt
That would be the NFL's all-time leading rusher... Hayes was great, Emmitt is greater...
#41
Waters or Newman
Waters... maybe in a few years, that answer will change, but for now, this is an easy call...
#19
Allworth or Key
Gimme Bambi here...
#33
Thomas or Dorsett
Dorsett, if only because of the length of their two careers...
#17
Meredith or Q (OH WAIT)
You're right, it's RIDICULOUS to try to compare Dandy Dan with the Great Quincy... LOL...
#21
Deion or Julius
Again, it's WAY too early to put Julius on this list, so Deion wins by default...
#88
Pearson or Irvin
Both?? I just don't wanna make that call, but if I have to, I'll go with the Playmaker...
#80
Hill or Harper
Another really tough call, I guess I'll go with Tony Hill...
#32
Garrison or Thurman
Walt's one of my 2 favorite all-time Cowboys...
#52
Edwards or Coakley
Dexter...
#34
Green or Walker
Cornell... Herschel was great with the Cowboys, but he wasn't with the Boys for very long...

Great Post.
Yes TB we were blessed. I would not take anything for all the memories of my Cowboys.
That's why we older fans are so spoiled, picky and hard to please...........The reason younger fans at times have a hard time understanding why we are the way we are.
What fun it was knowing on Sunday afternoon we were going to win.

Bein a youngin, I only get to witness most of these legends on espn classic. I really appreciate the history of the cowboys (esp. in long seasons like this!) I've read a lil more into Drew Pearson, just cause he's a fellow Jersey boy. Really appreciate the elders perspectives on our greats... Thanx
