I'm surpsised he didn't actually give him a real heart attack!
I can't even imagine the people driving by that might have seen this.

No one has mentioned Texas Lutheran on national television more often than Verne Lundquist, a proud alum.

This reminds me of a show Babe Laufenberg plays on his morning show during the bye week of the regular season. It’s a QB roundtable that had Troy Aikman, Roger Staubach, Danny White, Craig Morton & Don Merideth on stage telling stories in front of a small crowd.
It’s hilarious to watch and I think everyone here would really enjoy it, but I have never been able to find a copy of it on YouTube or CBS 11’s website so I can post it here.
One anecdote I remember was where Staubach was talking about how a reporter asked Walt Garrison (I think that's who it was) if he had ever seen Tom Landry Smile.
Garrison said "No, but I've only been here 9 years"
If anyone knows what I’m talking about and can post a link of the video itself, I believe everyone will enjoy it immensely.
Otherwise set you calendars to remind you to watch Babe’s morning show during the 2010 season’s bye week

I guess your post makes it official that I'm getting old because I bet I'm one of the few here that actually knows what show your talking about and has seen it

The way I heard this before, was that Roger was in contract talks with Tex and Tex was stalling. So Roger took his walk of death to give Tex a jolt.
The Dallas Playboy Club was located in the same building as Cowboys offices back then. Before high-end t-bars or Hooters had been invented, the Playboy Club was a sensation and only the ultra hottest women got to be bunnies.
I imagine Gil Brandt and some of those guys dropping by the club, but I imagine straight-laced Tom Landry just walked by each evening after film study and tried not to peek inside.

The Cowboy offices and Playboy Club were on different floors. Landry would have had to catch an elevator to "peek" inside . . .
