It is interesting because somebody who is mediocre actually looks good in the AFL. I personally enjoy watching this in the offseason.

Yeah Clint looked great exspecially for his first AFL football game. I like the AFL, never a dull moment. And its something to watch in the offseason, and its cool to have former Cowboys like Stoerner and Weatherington.

You are right about seeing former players. Even players that we still may try to sign. Remember we signed Will Pettis in the offseason two years ago, but then he was intercepted by another team on the last day so that we couldn't have him.

Any good message boards for the Desperados? I am getting into it this year with a team in Dallas, and enjoy reading posts on the Cowboys. I did a google but nohting came up.

Not that I know of either. I think that since it is related to the Cowboys that we can talk about the Desperados on here also. Heck, I did with this post. Especially since there are several former Cowboys players playing with them.

Maybe we can get a Desperados section like the sections of Cowboys Zone, Cowboys History,NFL, Draft, ect... If we ask the moderators nicely :) Because the team is owned by the Jones and they have that great Cowboy star and former players play on the team. So moderators what do you say?

Yeah mods, that would be a great idea! I would love to see a Desperados section, and I think there are others interested to talk about them, without cluttering up the Boys forum.
Thoughts??

I like the AFL but really can't get into it because there the whole game is boring until the final 20 seconds. All they do is score, score, score. It's all the same thing.

I think that makes sense and would be a good idea.

I've heard the same thing said from people that don't truly appreciate the NFL. ALl they do is go up and down the field and hit each other, blah blah blah.
But for those that truly understand and can appreciate the nuances involved, the chess match between two teams, it is a lot of fun to watch.
I am trying to understand all of it, and to be honest, have learned a lot on this message board as to the subtleties of the game. I think it would be great to have a Desperados forum where these same people can discuss the goings on of the AFL, and can help me to enjoy it even more.
Plus, what else is there to do in the off-season?

I still think Weatherington would have made a good DE. He showed so much promise but they never gave him a good chance.

Since there is no official board to talk about this on, does anyone know what is up with the AFL and AFL2? Is it just another league, or is it treated more like NFL Europe/farm league thing?
Just curious.
