Dallas

The rumors have swirled all season that Bill Parcells was considering retirement, but the coach denied them publicly. Privately, according to old friend Pat Summerall, Parcells did consider hanging it up after the Cowboys fell from 10-6 and a playoff bid in 2003 to 6-10 in ’04. Parcells will return to the sideline in ’05, but expect to see a different approach from the coach — and it could come to bear in the team’s offseason moves. Parcells balked at owner Jerry Jones’ preference to spend big money on a right cornerback last offseason, and the team struggled with a revolving-door crop of rookies opposite Terence Newman. The team is in good shape in salary-cap terms (approximately $20 million under), and even though Jones has gone on the record as saying the team will be conservative in its spending, you might see Parcells favor the addition of immediate free-agent help — especially on defense — to complement its two first-round picks.

I guess no one can blame Jerry for this one, or for that matter this year when Bill doesn't draft or sign a corner "because of the new rules".

For Ty Law

Last years #1 pricetag was too much, he can be had much cheaper this year!

I know you were excited about Law before last season, but I'm glad you are now saying his #1 pricetag was too expensive. Who knows Nors, maybe he'll be outright released by the Patriots. Do you happen to know if he is due a "roster bonus" during the off-season?

I'd love to bring Ty Law in at the right price. Hopefully, he'll be released and we can pick him up without having to give up any draft picks.

I doubt Ty Law and right price tag belong in the same sentence.

I swear I have to look at the header on the screen from time to time because I think I accidentally went to a Pats web site. I am so tired of hearing about BB, Ty Law, and the Mahvelous Pats.

Ty law would not have solved our defensive problems last year and he's not the sole answer this year either. He will be over priced and you could fill 2 or possibly 3 holes with what he will expect to make
