Kimbo has a great attitude but he needs to stick to street fighting, he is outclassed in the octagon.
Which ever judge had that one 29-28 for Stout should be fired, he is completely clueless, Jeremy clearly won the first 2 rounds.
Looking forward to the next 2 fights, should be fun.

As lame as that was Koscheck kinda had it coming for what he did in the first round, both fighters are scum and should be cut i've seen better acting in soccer, even porn
GSP vs Koscheck has 5 rounds of spooning written all over it, i'll gladly miss that one

That is one of the issues with MMA, Koscheck had no interest in fighting last night, he was more interested in laying on top of Daley. I like the ground part of the fight, when the fighter is actually trying to do some damage or trying for a submission, Koscheck really didnt seem to have much interest in either.

Thats the thoughts right now, but come the time they fight, we would have already seen TUF with them as coaches. Koscheck will run his mouth nonstop and the hype will be pretty huge. The cocky POS Koscheck, vs. the professional GSP. That will get viewers to tune in hoping that GSP crushes Koscheck, and then they will dry hump in the middle of the ring together for 5 rounds and everyone will be gripping how boring it was....but in truth, you can see it coming from a mile away.

Koscheck vs GSP could turn into a stand up.
GSP has the better stand up between the 2.

ur right when 2 wrestlers fight they always do stand up
rkell87
05-09-2010, 10:03 PM
it would be in koschecks interest to stand up just because GSP is alot bigger than him. koschecks strength may be on the ground but GSP is just too good at neutralizing even the best take down artists. his best bet is to catch GSP with a shot and get lucky.
BigWillie

ur right when 2 wrestlers fight they always do stand up
Except when you are a wrestler the caliber of GSP. The first time these guys fought, GSP was able to take Kos down and keep him down the majority of that fight. GSP spent about 2+ rounds in Kos' full guard or half-guard after early takedowns in each of the first 2 rounds.
GSP really has no reason to stand and trade with someone like Koscheck and let him catch a Serra-esque punch. GSP has proven time and time again that no matter the pedigree of anyone in the 170lbs class, he is BY FAR the best wrestler in the division. Not only that, but with Kos being no threat at submission on the mat, GSP really has no reason to stand up with Kos.
The only way Kos even has a prayer is if he wings another Hendo-Haymaker and it catches GSP. Save for that, GSP rolls - again.
BTW, it's almost comical at this point how eerily similar Kos and Dan Henderson are. Huge guys at each of their divisions, incredible wrestling backgrounds, and their standup consists of putting their right hand back then winging it with every single ounce of strength they have.

I haven't watched the pc yet but just read that Dana said Daley is cut from the UFC and will never be allowed back in for that sucker punch.
As he should have.
What Daley did was just absolutely moronic and can't be tolerated no matter how stupid Josh was acting in the fight with that flop.
Now if I were Dana I also, after seeing Josh pull that acting job, wouldn't let Josh have the GSP fight or be a coach on TUF. How is that guy going to get anyone to listen to him after he's shown what kind of character he has?
That was pathetic.
Good for him. Shows integrity and sends a message.
It does but it's also a situation where he really had no choice. Strikeforce recently had a big brawl, of some sort, after their main event and White made a lot of statements about it, and bashed them, so he really had no choice here anyway. Even if he didn't want to cut the guy he'd have had to after the way he blasted Strikeforce.
It was the right call regardless.

Actually this one has the chance to be similar to the fight with Serra cause Josh will spend the entire time during TUF getting under GSP's skin and being his regularly ******* self. I could see him really making GSP angry and thus getting more of a beating because of it.
That's not to say that he just beat Serra to death, or anything, but he landed a lot of great struff cause of how much he was angry with the guy for embarressing him before.

Oh and Rua wiped away any doubts about him, including the ones I had, since coming over from PRIDE. The guy has now shown in 3 straight fights what he's capable of when he's healthy and he's a very dangerous fighter.
This could set up a potential Shogun vs. Rampage rematch (they fought in PRIDE) if Rampage can defeat Evans (Which I think he will). I'm sure Rampage would love a shot to not only get the belt back but to do so while beating a guy who previously has beaten him.

Yeah it's his showboating, to some degree, but it's just everything about him really. He's just got such a big mouth (i know lots of them do) and he just always seems like such an arrogant, over-confident jerk.

Antonio rogerio lil nog should be the #1 contender after tonight... after he smashes his oppenent he is by far the best in that division....
His knockout loss to Sokoudjou was due to an injury he suffered and his trainers begged him not to fight and still he fought.. was in no condition to fight... his other loss was very contrvoserial both with Vladimir Matyushenko... who is a great fighter it was pretty even. Then he smashed him by knocking him out when they fought again. He has one more loss to shogun and that was the best fight i have ever seen in my life... argubaly the best fight in pride of all time.
Dan Henderson (http://cowboyszone.com/wiki/Dan_Henderson), Kazushi Sakuraba (http://cowboyszone.com/wiki/Kazushi_Sakuraba), Alistair Overeem (http://cowboyszone.com/wiki/Alistair_Overeem), Guy Mezger (http://cowboyszone.com/wiki/Guy_Mezger), Vladimir Matyushenko (http://cowboyszone.com/wiki/Vladimir_Matyushenko), Cane
Rashad Evans are you kidding me? HE got SMASHED by lyoto machida... all over the place... he's slow he can't keep up.. Rogerio trains machida and machida admitted he would never want to go up against rogerio, anderson silva would also get beat by rogerio or big nog.... Rua would have a really hard time beating lil nog right now... I couldn't see him beating him again and if it did go to a decision again it would be very very close... as far as rampage goes he already got smashed by rua... evans is way to slow, let's get real and just give rogerio the shot after he wins tonight, guys like evans and jackson have no where near the skills lil nog has.... his BJJ is better than rua jackson and evans no doubt.... and rogerio stand up boxing is an A grade no doubt... Brazaillian champion boxer, better stand up than his older brother at this point.. he's fresh has 21 fights..

lil nog is a better fighter than evans and rampage... lil nog and shogun are in a league of there own in LHW same with anderson silva in middle and george in welter...

He has A LOT to prove before he deserves a title shot when Sokoudjou is the best fighter he's faced in 3 years which isn't saying much specially considering that he lost that fight in just 23 seconds. The last decent fighter he faced was actually Shogun 5 years ago (lost that one as well). No one outside of the people doing the promotion for Strikeforce thinks very highly of Overheem so i wouldn't even bother throwing that name out there. Only win that stands out is Henderson and that was also 5 years ago.
He has to beat a Evans, Rampage or Machida type fighter before his name should even be mentioned for a title shot

lol where?? you can't even spell let alone know mma kid hahahahahaha... did you even watch PRIDE or did just start watching ufc this year? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Justified?
Oh you mean how you conviently came up with the tried and true method of blaming a loss on being injuried prior to the fight?
Gee I wonder how many other times I've heard that excuse after someone loses. Tito Ortiz has only been using it for every one of his losses for the last 6 years.
But, yeah, I'm sure we're supposed to take you're 'expert advice' on MMA.
Right.

Never, ever, ever for any reason, ever, try and place Lil Nog in the same breath as Shogun, Anderson or George ever again.
You're 'top 3 LHW' in the world showed last night that he's not even a top 3 LHW in the UFC, let alone the world.
Way to show how completely ignorant you are when it comes to MMA.
Take your own advice you gave everyone else and learn the sport before you return here to try and tell others what they need to learn.

Shoguns words
"I believe every fight is tough, but the fights with Lyoto and Minotoro were the toughest I had. Fans want that fight Rogerio again and I think we're going to meet each other again. Minotoro is a guy I respect a lot and we talk often. Nobody can be underestimated, he is at the top of the category, and he has proved that. I'm sure that fight will happen soon."
The two first faced off in Pride Fighting Championship in the middleweight tournament, where Shogun won the fight via decision and then ended up winning that tournament. Many people consider this fight to be one of the best fights in MMA history as it had everything from technical ground game to a stand up slug fest.

Little Nog isn't close to one of the best 205'rs.
He was just gifted a win over a nobody and you're still running your mouth about how great he is? :lmao2:
If it's one thing the Nog's have always been good at it's grinding out a decision loss when they're outmatched, he did that 5 years ago against Shogun and you somehow think that entitles him to a title shot? After his pitiful display against Brilz, a guy who took the fight on 4 weeks notice he shouldn't have his name even mentioned anywhere near the top at 205. If not for some very generous judges he'd be on the undercard next time, he should send them flowers for that one
I don't know why i even bothered replying to this, his last fight speaks for it self.

grinded out a loss? :lmao2: :lmao2:
I guess shogun is lying with the quotes that you just read from him???? :lmao2:
The fight in 2005 against shogun was one of the best PRIDE fights of ALL-TIME, he smashed dan henderson in his prime... beat overeem twice knocked his *** out once..Vladimir Matyushenko beat him up.. he's one of the best in the divison, smashed Sakuraba. You think it's easy to come up with a game plan for a new person in four weeks? I'm sure britz had something to prove and really prepared for the fight.. he did a great job I give him credit and I'm sure he will move up.. but he lost the fight, anyone that knows MMA will tell you that a loss is a loss... shogun got smashed by forrest griffin.. hmm your not bringing that up:lmao2:
here's the bottom line.. Machida knows if he fought rogerio which more than likely wouldn't ever happen because they train together.. Machida would have the hardest time.. and you read what shogun said
"Nobody can be underestimated, he is at the top of the category, and he has proved that"
Ask yourself a real question Rashad Evans just smashed rampage... Rashad Evans looked like a rag doll against Machida.. Do you really think Evans would give Shogun a better fight than Rogerio?:lmao2: :lmao2:
You're trying to bring op fights from 5 years ago like what happened 5 years ago means anything now, his latest preference speaks for it self. Guess we should juts go ahead and hand Vanderlei Silva the MW belt then since 5 years ago no one could beat him
Shogun said some good thing about him, great, how does that change what happened on Saturday?
Yes, Shogun lost to Griffin, so what? i'm not bringing that up now because it's irrelevant Shogun is the champ now he's proven him self since then, Nog hasn't, until he beats a top fighter at 205 he'll remain the guy who lasted 23 seconds against a UFC washout, Saturdays fight didn't do him any favors in erasing that from peoples memories
Doesn't matter what i think Evans' chances are against Shogun either cause Evans has earned that title shot. A win over Rampage is a hell of a lot more impressive then a questionable split decision over a replacement fighter hardly anyone has ever heard of.
Nog hasn't fought anyone relevant since the Sokoudjou fight, he had a chance to make an impression on Saturday against a 205 bottom feeder and failed miserably. The results speak for them selves.

You say it doesnt matter 5 years ago but then u say he ALMOST lost the fight.... come on kid.. he won the fight a win is a win.. not too mention Lyoto Machida would never want to fight rogerio because he actually said he was better than him... and Nog and Rua had the best fight ever in MMA history argubaly.. you must be one of those guys that have never even watched PRIDE or heard of it, so u see a couple lidell fights and see UFC and jump on the bandwaggon:laugh2:
Rashad Evans earned a title shot because he beat Rampage who got beat down by shogun, Rashad Evans got SMASHED by Machida it was Sad watching that.. and he earned a title shot?? :laugh2:

Seriously, do us all a favor and just go away, I can literally feel my IQ drop every time i read one of your god awful posts
You wanna compare who Rashad has beat in the last 3 years to the list of no names Nog has beaten since Soko, really? :laugh2:
You keep going back to your little but, but, but, "<insert name> said" argument which means absolutely nothing when the results don't back it up, A split decision (a VERY questionable split decision) against Brilz and you're trying to convince your self that he deserves a title shot more then Evans, you're completely retarded.
If he has to rely on a judges gift to get past Brilz then the debate about whether or not he should get a title shot is over until he proves otherwise, nothing Shogun, Machida or anyways else says is gonna change that, neither will a 5 year old win over Henderson
I really wish there was a age limit to sign up for these forums :banghead:

No actually Saturday night more than proved you're wrong and don't have a clue what you're talking about.
And I often get their middle names messed up but isn't Minataro (I spelled it wrong no doubt) that Shogun is talking about in what you posted the bigger Nog? I thought his middle name was Minataro, or however it's spelled.
Either way the guy you claimed was a top 3 LHW in the world was out classed and soundly beaten, regardless of what the judges were watching, on Saturday night and everyone who watched the fights saw that. If he's a top 3 LHW then I guess that Brilz guy must be a top 2, huh?
Edit- After reading your deal again I guess that middle name is for him. I get their names confused all the time.
And if you're going off him being one of the best in the world and using fights from 5 years ago as your proof then I guess everyone should still consider Chuck Liddell, Randy Couture, Dan Henderson, and company as absolutely amazing, and top 5, in their weight classes cause, after all, 5 years ago they won these big time fights.
Top 5 in the world today is determined by what you do in the present, not 5 years ago. Today Lil Nog had to have the judges give one of the worst decisions in history to get him a victory over a virtual nobody in the UFC and that more than enough proves that he's not on the level of any of the people you're trying to put him on the same level with.
If you're going to post here at least leave your fanboy love for fighters at the door and don't bring it in here. There is nothing worse than people who are fanboys of certain fighters and because of that trying to make them out to be something they're not.
