Now that the retirement announcement is imminent, post your thanks to one of the greatest Cowboys. Here's mine.
Thank You, Emmitt for the guts you showed in '93 vs. the Giants. You proved in that one instance that you were worth every penny you held out for at the start of that season. Most Cowboys fans were on your side during the holdout and agreed that Jerry Jones should just pay up. Also, thanks for being so durable and never missing a game unless absolutely necessary. As fans, we knew that when you couldn't go you were really hurt. Most of all, thanks for the leadership, enthusiasm and class you brought to the Cowboys uniform. Playing for a franchise with many hallowed names, you will always stand out with the likes of Roger, Tony D., Lilly, Troy, Bullet Bob and Dandy Don as one of the greatest Cowboys. You will be missed and have been missed since the day you left. You made my twenties a very enjoyable time with all the Super Bowls so I could walk with my head high in front of my friends as we watched football as I am the only Cowboy fan among them. Thank You, Thank You for the memories. I'll see you at the Ring of Honor Ceremony.

I think Emmitt was the best player the Cowboys ever had.
I loved his heart, his desire and his courage.
The Cowboys nation lost alot when he left and he was never replaced.
I hope his "after" football life is as productive as he was as a player.
One of the greatest players ever, class act on and off the field, huge heart, awsomes toughness but most of all an example of what a profesional football player should be.

Thank you Emmitt for all the great memories....the Super Bowls, the MVP season in '93, running for 237 yards in the rain at the Vet, playing with a separated shoulder to beat the Giants for the division, defending the star, breaking the unbreakable record of Walter Payton, being an invaluable asset in the locker room, and too many more to even list. IMHO the greatest Dallas Cowboy, and maybe the greatest NFL player, of all time.
Philly fans and TO should pay attention to this press conference...here's someone who is just the complete polar opposite of guys like TO. Nothing but respect for the game, his team, his coaches, fellow players and fans. Someone who gives his all no matter what he does. No showboating, no running his mouth or berating his coaches and teammates, no distractions. Just an all around great human being both on and off the field.

My earlist memories of the Cowboys is of Emmitt's great runs in the early 90's, be it behind Moose, or jumping over the line into the endzone, or picking up the blitz.
Thank you Emmitt! :toast2:

I dont care what the haters say, Emmitt always will be the best RB ever in my mind. He has the numbers, more yards, more TDs, etc than anyone. The fact that we had a great O-Line wasnt his fault. Its like saying Montana would havge sucked if he didnt have Rice, Clark, etc.

Thank you...Thank you...Thank you, Emmitt. IMO, you've set the standard by which all others will be measured, and I don't mean in terms of just on the field performance either. I now look forward to your induction ceremony at Canton. Thank You again, sir!
