Couldnt it just be a "man" making a difference.

I feel as if the "old" was unnecessary and hurtful to those with one foot in the grave.

I feel as if the "old" was unnecessary and hurtful to those with one foot in the grave.I consider it a badge of honor to be an old man who makes a difference. I know he wouldn't be insulted by the title because I meant none.
