Can someone tell me a little about the Syracuse headcoach we hired?
I'd like to know if he is regarded as a "defensive coach" or an "offensive coach".
Specifically, did Syracuse use a 3-4 under him?

He started his career as a defensive coach for syracuse and worked his way up to the head coach position. He coached the likes of dwight freeney and all the d line and backers personally.

He primarily ran a 4-3 in Syracuse. He has a very conservative approach and did not blitz much. He ran a good program at SU from an academic point of view and the players liked and respected him. They weren't buying season tickets though and the community had soured on him. I like the guy for the kind of players he produced but agree that his time had come.
