Need a little help with video capture. I have download helper installed in Firefox but it seems to be unable to capture the vids I want to save. The site I want to download from was built entirely from flash, is there a way to capture these with Firefox DL helper or is there another free tool I install that will allow me to save audio and video from a flash site?
Thanks
whats the site ?
i have a way i use to d/l video that requires no additional software but i dont know if it would work on the site you are talking about.

i thought i could just register quickly but i couldnt. let me just tell you how
i do it.
it might work for you, might not.
go to the video you want to watch, watch it completely, notice about what time it is when you watch it.
open window explorer, go to C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\cache.
( there may be another folder level between profiles\cache, but just keep going until you get to your cache).
look through the list of files in your cache, they wont have extensions but look for a Large file with a timestamp of about the time you watched the video.
copy that file to another location and save it there with the .flv extension.
if you found the correct file it should now be saved on your computer and be ready to play in your media player.
this doesn't always work but i have had a lot of success with it on different sites.
hope it helps, if my directions suck just ask me and i will try to make more sense.

OK Thanks
I am running out the door right now and will be back at 9pm. I'll try it then and let you know.
Thanks again.
P.S. The reason I offered the password was because I knew they weren't accepting any more registrations.
i will check back to see if it worked.
